Laura and I get out of her Dodge Challenger along with her guard. I learned his name is Ryan. He doesn't talk much. Maybe that's why Laura brought him.

I'm still a little confused why Laura wanted me to come with her to go grocery shopping, but I'll gladly take any time I can get with my baby sister.

We walk around Target for a while making small talk. I pretty much just watch Laura and Ryan place things in the cart as she checks off the items on her list.

"Why are you getting all of these ingredients?" I ask looking to my left, seeing Laura push around the cart

She turns her head to look at me. "On Thanksgiving, Ashton, Jason, and I usually make food and bring it to a homeless shelter." She tells me

I can't help but hear Ryan's chuckle behind us. I ignore his rudeness and softly reply "That's really nice baby sister. Are you going to drop off some food tomorrow?"

She nods her head grabbing a few sacks of potatoes. "I'm going to call Ashton and Jason later to see if they still want to go with me. If not, I'll have Ryan come with me." She replies, looking back to Ryan when his name is mentioned

His eyes soften while he nods his head. "I think your Dad will want me to go either way. You know, with everything going on." Ryan explains in a monotonous voice, but his face is relaxed.

"You're probably right." Laura replies looking back to her phone

"So, what dishes are you gonna make sorella?" I ask her with an excited smile

She looks up to me and I see her lips tug slightly. I'm breaking down her walls, and I love it. I just want her to be happy.

"A big tray of mashed potatoes... maybe two trays and pasta salad." Laura tells me with an emotionless expression

"Pasta salad?" I question furrowing my eyebrows. "What's that?"

Laura abruptly stops the cart causing me to trip over my own feet. She looks at me with shock. "Pasta salad is cooked pasta, served cold or at room temperature, with italian dressing, feta cheese, and chopped vegetables. I use fusilli pasta. Well, at least that's how I make it. Theoretically you could make it however you want. I don't make it that often, but Ashton and Jason love it." She explains quietly

"Oh that sounds good." I tell her with a smile

I'm not lying. That actually sounds really good

She nods her head. "I can't believe you haven't had it before." She tells me while we round the corner to the produce section

"Do you think you can make extra for our dinner tomorrow?" I ask with my nicest smile

Laura looks up at me with a playful glare. "Only because of your smile." She grumbles grabbing a bag for the vegetables

"You are amazing" I tell her cheezing. She rolls her eyes, but I see her lips quirk up slightly.
