"Come in" I hear Laura yell through the door
Don't be nervous.
She's a 17 year old girl. Just calm down
I open the door to find Laura laying on her right side in bed. "Hey Elijah" Laura says softly
I shut the door saying "Hi baby sister." I walk over to her and watch her eyes light up.
"Do you like slushees too Elijah?" She asks happily. I can't help but laugh at how cute she sounds being excited over a slushee.
"Yes, but I actually got this for you." I say extending my arm. She looks up at me with soft eyes. She takes the cup out of my hand and sets it on her nightstand.
Before I know what's happening, Laura has her arms wrapped around my neck and her legs wrapped around my torso. I immediately wrap my arms around her and bury my head into her neck.
"God, I missed you so much" I barely whisper. Laura gives me a squeeze, still not letting go. I turn around to sit on her bed with her in my hold.
Laura rests her head on my shoulder and starts to relax when I rub my hand up and down her back.
"Thank you Elijah." She whispers
"For the slushee?" I question softly
"Mhm" She mumbles, nodding her head
"No problem. Jason told us how much you like them so I wanted to get you one after work." I tell her
"That makes sense. But seriously Elijah that was extremely thoughtful of you." She tells me
"It was nothing baby sis" I whisper, now slightly rocking us back and forth
"Do you want to do something this weekend?" She asks me quietly
"Like hang out?" I question
"Well, yeah. I feel like you're the only brother I haven't spent a lot of time with. I want to get to know you." She tells me
Fuck I'm gonna cry
"Really?!" I ask shocked
Laura takes her head off my shoulder so she can look at my face. "Of course I do." She tells me softly
I let out a breath and bring her back into a hug. "I would love that baby sister." I tell her kissing the top of her head
Suddenly the door bursts open causing Laura to flinch. Shit. We look to see Alessandro standing in the room.
Ugh why didn't he knock?
"Hey bambina. I wanted all of us to talk about what happened at school today." He tells her
"Okay" She says letting go of me. I slightly frown wanting to keep hugging her. Laura sees this and kisses my cheek causing a big smile to form on my face.
