"A last for everything"
_______________________________"What's Na'vi?"
Cielle's voice seemed grab their attention when they burst out laughing, gesturing for her to take a seat.
"This is gonna be a long one." James sighed, as he broke out from their embrace.
"'Long' is an understatement Mr.Spellman." Brooke scoffed as she held out her hand for Cielle to hold, pulling her up effortlessly.
Marine build pays off. Always.
"Elle." At this point James was looking her dead in the eyes.
Cielle could feel the energy building around him, as he spoke.
"What do you know about space?" He inquired, placing his hands over the table.
"As in the zone around our planet?" She asked, slightly arching her brow, wondering where this was going.
"Say, would you believe me if I told you there was life out there?" He eyed the girl carefully.
There was a long pause before she answered.
"Absolutely."
Brooke and James shared a look before he started.
"This goes beyond anything you could have ever imagined. Any form of life, energy, or intelligence you've heard of until now."
She locked eyes with him.
"Forget it. Forget all of it." He said, making her eyes widen as a response. "Wait- why?-"
"Because, what I'm about to show you, surpasses human intelligence. It surpasses our life." He spoke of this form of life with such fascination, trapping Cielle in a trance.
"Everything we've achieved until now, every possible stage of evolution our species has faced. Erased. Within a matter of seconds."
The growing anticipation in Cielle's heart seemed to comply with everything he said.
"Human intelligence?" She asked in disbelief, Albeit not knowing where this sense of pull came from.
James chose his words carefully, not wanting to give away something that could scare her away, or rather make him seem like a lunatic, although he'd admit he was way past that stage.
