It was later that night when you finally sat down with Ao'nung alone. Walking over to where he was sitting, on the edge of the opening of the cliff they were in. The sun was starting to disappear having eclipse happen.
Walking over you placed a hand on his shoulder and gave him a smile as he looked up at you.
"I am sorry, I just don't feel comfortable in this setting." He stated as you took your hand into his, you tucked his curly hair behind his ear getting a good look at his face.
"I understand that, I didn't like leaving either." You said resting your head on his shoulder, he leaned his head on yours and let out a sigh.
"I just hope this ends soon, and my mother and brother are okay, and I guess I just don't understand why we had to leave." He said, you didn't understand fully either, but it's what Lo'ak and your father suggested.
It had to do something with maybe it being Miles again, or that they wouldn't guess for us to come back home, due to us leaving the clan. Which you guys were right if it wasn't for Spider everyone would have been safe, but that little rat dog, just ruins everything.
"You need to lighten up, I miss the sweet Ao'nung that would look at me with loving eyes, and the Chief that would have fun with me on our adventures. Miss the brave man I mated with. Last but not least I miss that beautiful laugh of yours." Ao'nung did seem to become soft since your daughter was born.
He wasn't the same as he used to be, which you kinda get, he's a father and a leader. He gave you a side eye with a smirk before looking forwards.
"So you miss the younger me, sorry i'm an old grumpy man now." You let out a sigh, slapping his thigh lightly.
"Ok fish lips, first off you look the same, nothing has changed, I think you having children has just softened you up a bit." You said, making him roll his eyes, which you were right, he did look the same, 32, isn't old for a Na'vi at all, nothing like human years, so you both still looked as young and alive as you did when you were 18, and 20. Maturing is the only thing that has changed.
You got up, running a hand through his hair, before running off a couple steps before looking back at him. He stood up looking at you with a smile.
"Where are you going?" He asked, you shrugged your shoulders, running off, he smiled, rolling his eyes in the process before chasing after you. Running back into the cave, he caught you in his arms turning you around.
"I want to show you my world." You said, Ao'nung raising his brow looking around in the location they are in.
"But I've seen your world before, and right here? Right now?" He said, you were really confused and taken back by what he meant before you finally realized what he was referring to.
"Not that kind of world, I meant the forest idiot." You said, pulling his ear slightly, before wiggling from his grasp. She called her Ikran, and she came. You walked over to the pouch it had on its side, and grabbed your visor putting it on, along with your chaps.
"And it would be good practice for you and your Ikran." You said, smiling over at your mate whose face dropped.
"Can I just go with you?" You shook your head at his request. You walked over to him and laid your hands on his Omaticaya leader apparel that really suited him. You brushed the feathers before looking up at him, with pleading eyes before he sighed, and nodded.
You laughed and handed him a visor, it was specially made just for him. You helped him put it on, making sure his hair was out of the way. You had him turn around and squat so you could put up his hair. You put it in just a loose braid, he had really long hair all Metkayina's did. Very hard hair to tame. But since you had 3 children with his wild hair, you had to learn at some point how to deal with it. Reya wasn't around to help and Ao'nung didn't even know how to do his own hair. Most Metkayina had the rows of braids on the top half of their head, which if Ao'nung or your kids needed them to be redone you would have to get a Na'vi from the Metkayina clan to do their hair. It was hard for you.
