Chapter 20

Three days before my birthday and I still haven't told anyone.

Paul probably knows but he's on a business trip for three weeks. I haven't even told Isaac.

Speaking of Isaac, we've been spending a lot of time together lately. Not that I'm complaining, I love it. It just seems odd.

I was on my laptop watching some YouTube when Skype made that weird bubble noise that lets me know someone is calling me.

I look at it to see that it was Brittany. We haven't talked in a couple days but other than that we do talk a lot. Almost every other day. Danny and I talk less frequently but still a lot.

"Hey!" She said enthusiastically

"Hey! What's that?" There was a foot next to her on the bed.

"Danny she sees you! Great going." She started pouting as Danny came into view of the camera.

"Hey Abby!"

"Hey Danny!"

"How's England?"

"It's great! Oh and did Brittany tell you?"

"Tell me what?" I looked at Brittany and she looked confused and then her eyes went wide and she shook her head.

"I-um-I have to go to the bathroom." Brittany said because she knew I would want to talk to Danny alone.

"What is it?" Danny asked a little worriedly.

"Well I um- I have a boyfriend."

"Really?"

"Yeah, I didn't want to tell you right away just in case it didn't work out but we really love each other."

"I'm happy for you."

"Do you remember what you made me promise at the airport?"

"Of course I do."

"Well I'm trying really hard to keep that promise. One day I'll take you guys around the house and introduce you to everyone. They're amazing people."

"And they're treating you right?"

"Yes, they treat me like family."

"How many kids are there again?"

"Eleven children, then the cook Lianne, the nanny Helena, and the dad Paul."

"Wow. That seems like a crazy house."

"Well it sure is big enough."

"I got the picture you sent me, it's beautiful."

"I really miss you guys." I started to choke up but I don't think Danny noticed.

"We miss you too." Brittany came back in and sat down next to Danny. "It isn't the same without you."

"Sometimes I feel homesick."

"How is the anxiety going?" Brittany asks

"It's good, I guess. I'm down to just one pill a day and I go to a doctor a week after my birthday to see if I can go off of the medication completely."

"That's awesome. Have you had a panic attack since the thing with Alex?"

"No not really."

"That's great Abby." Danny says. There was a knock on my door so Brittany and Danny became quiet.

"Come in." I call, Isaac and Chris walk in.

"Is this a bad time?" Isaac asks

"No, actually it's a great time, I want you to meet my friends."
