Aunt May and I have spent the last two days together, practically inseparable.
On Monday morning though things seemed different.
I woke up to the smell of chocolate chip pancakes and fresh blueberry muffins. But the thing is, Aunt May usually doesn't cook.
So my next thought was maybe Clara, the nice hospice lady was here early. But she's never been early before?
So I decided to investigate and was surprised to see Aunt May cooking in the kitchen.
"Hello dear! Sleep well?" She sounded more cheery than she had in months.
"Um... Yeah I guess so." I cautiously slid into my seat at the dinner table. "Did you?"
"Oh wonderfully deary!"
"That's um, great!" I decided to go with it, better not to ruin her mood.
She sat a plate of pancakes and a muffin in front if me and sat down across in her own chair.
"So Nancy called this morning and asked if you would like to spend the night with Brittany tonight." She said after I had started eating.
"That sounds great but what about-"
"Oh Abigail, don't worry about me. Go out with your friends and have fun."
"Alright, if-if you say so."
"Nancy said she'll be by to pick you up around noon."
"Okay." Excitement started bubbling up inside of me as I finished my pancakes and ran upstairs to go pack.

At noon Ms. Nancy pulled up and Brittany jumped out of the car before tackling me into a hug. We carried my stuff out to the car and then I ran back inside to see Ms. Nancy looking like she was about to cry and Aunt May looking very upset but also relieved. Maybe she just asked her what we had been talking about.
When they both noticed me though a smile overtook their faces and I ran to Aunt May and hugged her. She hugged me back harder then she ever had before and said, "I love you Abby, and don't you ever forget it."
"Of course I won't Aunty. I love you too." I pulled away and Aunt May gave Brittany a long hug.
"Bye dear! Have fun!" She called after me, I waved to her as I got into Nancy's car and we drive away.
"So tell me." Brittany looked at me expectantly
"What?"
"Tell me what's been going on!" She squeeled, goodness gracious here we go with the squealing again.
"Nothing really, I've just been spending a lot of time with my Aunt May."
"Well that's awesome!"
"What about you?"
"Oh nothing much, just sitting at home being lazy."
"Ooo fun." We both started laughing and Mrs. Nancy shook her head with a small smile

"So there's this girl." Danny said over Skype
"Oh here we go again." Brittany laughed and I elbowed her
"I'm serious."
"Who is she?" I asked
"I'm not going to tell you guys!" Danny scoffed
"Well fine then." I folded my arms over my chest and pouted.
"I'll tell you later." He whispered while Brittany was busy. I nodded and smiled.
"So what's she like at least?" Brittany asked
"Well she's beautiful, but she doesn't really realize it I don't think."
"YOU DON'T KNOW YOU'RE BEAUTIFUL!" Brittany busted out singing and I rolled my eyes.
"Gee thanks Danny, now I'm going to have to listen to live one direction covers all night."
"Sorry Abby. I didn't even think about it." He smirked and plugged his ears
"BRITTANY ROSE WILL YOU SHUT UP ALREADY? WE GET IT!" I yelled over her singing
"Alright! Alright, I'm done."
"Continue." I said to Danny as he unplugged his ears
"Well like I said she's beautiful, but she's always sad. I love her smile, but I rarely get to see it. Her laugh is so cute, but I don't usually hear it. She's an amazing person, one of the nicest I know-"
"Other than us!" Brittany sang
Danny rolled his eyes and I laughed. "I think I might be in love with her."
"You think you're in love with her and we're just now hearing about it?!" Brittany screeched
"Well I just figured it out a little while ago." He frowned, "It'll never work out anyways."
"Why not?"
"Because I don't think she even notices that I like her."
"Well then you have to tell her. Tell her all the things you just told us."
"I already did."
"Well then what did she say?"
"She's too naive to figure it out." Danny smirked and we heard a rustling in the background. He turned to look,
"Alright I will." I heard him say before he turned back around to us. "Hey listen guys I have to go, goodnight."
"Night Danny." We both said at the same time
"Okay that was creepy."
"Bye Danny." I laughed and he ended the call
I looked over at Brittany's desk and saw that it was 1:01 a.m.
"Oh man!"
"What?" Brittany asked
"I forgot to call and tell my Aunt May goodnight."
"Just call her now."
"I am." I clicked on Aunt May's number and listened to the ringing. No answer.
"She must've already gone to bed." I sighed
"Well you can just call her in the morning."
"Alright."
"Hey I'm getting pretty tired, want to put in a movie and hit the sack?"
"Sure." So I fell asleep listening to the Barden Bella's and Trebel Makers duke it out until I finally fell asleep.
