Chapter 10

I woke up to the curtains being pulled back and sun blasting me in the face.

"Good morning sunshine." An English accent sang to me.

"Go away."

"Now, now. That's no way to speak to your best friend."

Alex.

He popped into my line of vision and smiled at me.

"Alex go away."

"Alright well Lianne told me to wake you up at 10 to make sure the jet lag thingy didn't do too much harm."

I looked over at my alarm clock.

"Alex it is 8 in the morning." I deadpanned

"Well I figured I would just let you know that I'm waking you up in two hours. And that my siblings are going to be showing up soon, so don't be too surprised when I wake you up again."

"Get out."

"Alright, alright." He went to the bay window and closed the curtains again before finally leaving.

I rolled over and fell back asleep almost immediately.

Somehow I ended up facing the window again so when Alex came to wake me up for the second time I got blasted in the face with even brighter sun.

"Alright, now it's officially time to get up."

"I don't want to." I groaned and flipped over.

"We can do this the easy way or the hard way."

"How about the way where I not move and you get fed up and leave."

"The hard way it is. Are you wearing clothes?"

"Am I what?"

"Are you wearing clothes, it's really a simple question."

"Um, yes?" I said into my pillow.

The room was quiet for a few minutes and I sighed, maybe he left.

Then I felt the bed bounce and I went flying into the air. I yelled as I hit the floor with a loud umph.

"Ow!" I yelled looking up at Alex's smirking face.

"What?" He tried to look innocent

"That hurt, that's what!"

"Oops, my bad. I didn't see you there."

"Didn't see me there my butt!"

"I warned you."

"Yeah and I'm warning you. If you don't move out of my bed I'm going to attack you, and then go back to sleep."

"So we're still playing this game?"

"The game where I go back to sleep? Yes!"

"Alright so we'll do it the double hard way."

"What?" He got up off of the bed and came around to the side where I was still on the floor. He reached his hand out.

"No way."

"Oh come on." I gingerly took his hand and he helped me up.

I jerked my hand away as soon as I had my stability back and went to climb into bed when an arm wrapped around my waist and threw me into the air. I let out a scream as Alex threw me over his shoulder.

"Alex put me down!"

"I kind of like this."

"Alex!" I started beating on his back as he carried me out of the room.
