Hayes' POV

I walked back home hand in hand with Mack.

I opened the door for her and then felt something pushed me down into the bush.

I Opened my eyes and saw nothing but pitch black and the sound of Mack calling my name.

"So Hayes, how have you been." I heard someone say breathing down my neck

They grabbed my neck and started kissing me,

"Let go!" I tried pushing them off

I fell back and they got on top of me,

"Oh Hayes, you're not going anywhere."

I pulled open the rope off my hands and then stood up.

I grabbed them and said

"Where am i, where's Mack! Why are you doing this to me?"

They took their phone out and flashed it in front of their face,

"Al-alexa?"

"Miss me?" She said

"Oh my god."

"Now Hayes, if you don't go to prom with me, I'll do something horrible to Mackenzie." she said

"What! Why?"

"Just because." she said

"O-okay, just please don't hurt her."

"I won't if you go with me." She said

"Okay, I'll go- go with you." I choked as a tear fell out

I was so sad, how can I do this to Mack?

Mackenzie's POV

I ran back out and waited a good half hour until I saw Hayes coming down the block.

The first thing I did when I saw him was hug him as tight as I could.

"Where were you?" I said

"I-i-"

"Wait I have to tell you something!" I said

"Yeah?"

"Tori and Shawn are going to Prom too!" I said smiling

"Oh yeah, about that."

"Yeah I'm so happy!" She said

"I can't go with you, and don't be mad. It's for your best."

"Bu-but-"

"I'm sorry, but it's for your best."

Everything stayed silent for a minute as he walked past.

"Hayes." I said

"Yes?"

"Look. You keep breaking me. Its like you're using me. So until you have your mind made up. I'm not being your girlfriend or any type of shit like that. And I hope you never forget that Benjamin Hayes Grier."

I walked into my house and got into sweatpants and a shirt.

I ran back down and put my head down on the counter.

"Fuck this." I said angrily
