Lloyd's pov:

"I'm glad you came" Nadakan said happily.

Lloyd forced himself up to face the djinn, Zane by his side was already up. He looked determined; they weren't going out without a fight. Lloyd sure was glad of that. They needed to know what the djinn wanted. And find a way to escape. Lloyd was the first to attack, throwing an orb of energy to Nadakan. Zane followed closely behind and sent ice with it.

To their bad luck, Nadakan just disappeared. Their attack just hitted a heavy door that was at the opposite place from where they were. Harumi didn't move an inch, but they could hear how Nadakan laughed but didn't came to face them. They needed him to appear again.

"What? Too scared to show up now?" Lloyd asked, hoping that would make the djinn come out but it didn't

"And I though djinn were powerful" Zane said trying to be sarcastic, joining on Lloyd's plan. It was a bit odd, but they didn't really have much against Nadakan. Lloyd turned to face Zane with a confused expression, to which his friend only answered with a thumbs up.

With that, the djinn appeared behind them. Nadakan hitted the Master of ice on the back making him fall face to ground. Lloyd had saw the djinn and reacted while he could. He launched his fist against Nadakan but was surprised to see how easy the djinn had caught him mid-air.

"You are stronger than your blue friend, I'll admit that. But you should be more careful kid" Nadakan said, making Lloyd's eyes open in shock not only for the reaction of the djinn but also for the mention of Jay.

He pressed Lloyd's arms until it started shaking. Lloyd tried to retrieve it but couldn't beat the strength of the djinn. Zane was already back to the fight and started heading to them.

Nadakan saw this and spin Lloyd from his arm, then letting him fly through the room and hit Zane. They both felt to the ground again, one besides the other. Lloyd felt very tired, but he didn't understand why. They have barely touched the fight! What had drained their energy?!

"Are you already tired? We have just begun!" Nadakan said loudly preparing for another attack.

Lloyd prepared himself to roll him and Zane out of the way of the djinn once he attacked, but he didn't prepare for what he saw next. Someone had thrown a kunai to Nadakan. The weapon flew just few millimeters from Nadakan's face and ended stuck on the wall. No one moved, but Lloyd knew who had been. The only other person in the room, Harumi.

He turned to see her, but she didn't bother to look at him. She looked directly to Nadakan with a serious and kind of annoyed stare, but she didn't say a word. Lloyd didn't know if he should feel relieved for the little break they had or prepare for something worst.

Nadakan sighted and ceased his attack, gaining the attention of both boys back.

"I'm afraid we'll have to postpone our little meeting for another time, you should rest a bit. Big day ahead" he said before disappearing him and Harumi from the room.

What had just happened? Did really Harumi save them? Or was she planning something far worst? Zane got back to his feet and helped Lloyd up too.

"Are you okay?" Zane asked.

"Just tired" he said, "you also felt your energy get drain?"

Zane nodded his head. "Affirmative, although I can't seem able to identify the reason for it"

"That's okay, we just need to get out of here, fast"

Just then, a yellow fog started to fill the room from a ventilation that opened itself at the wall where they once were fighting. Lloyd coughed with it, and suddenly felt sleepy.
