The Call of Home

Chapter 1

Lloyd's pov:

The sun was still shining while Lloyd run through the streets of Ninjago city, but he wasn't all alone. Onis were chasing him and were pretty close. Closer than what Lloyd would like. "Oh, come on! Well, I hope this works!" He stopped running and faced the Onis who immediately stood ready to fight.

Lloyd knew he couldn't defeat them. He was outnumbered and even with his powers it wouldn't be enough. But he knew exactly what to do. He reached for the weapon he'd been carrying all along. It was meant that his father, Garmadon, used it to fight the Onis. But there wasn't much of choice right now. When he grabbed Aspheera's staff his head began to burn and his eyes glowed a bright green. It wasn't the first time he had used it, but it would be enough to slow the Onis and buy him some time till he gets back to the monastery with the others and his father. His father, it was still weird having him around, but he sure changed for the best. After not knowing anything of him, Garmadon came back out of the blue. But it was weirdest that the Onis have returned. How did they even get to return? Lloyd and his friends had defeated them with the tornado of creation.

However, this wasn't the time to try to find out how. So as soon as one of the Onis attacked Lloyd, he used his power and sent him flying who-knows-where. The other Onis seemed shocked, but that didn't prevent them from trying to stop and kidnap Lloyd. He was with Zane and Nya before, helping people in the city and fighting the Onis. But more than causing chaos, it seemed they were more focused on getting Lloyd and his friends, but specially Lloyd. That was when they splitted, Wu had contacted them and told them to reach for Aspheera's staff. Lloyd was near it, so he went to get it. Now while fighting with the Onis, of all of this had happened so fast. Still he needed to hurry to the monastery.

Once he was done fighting the Onis and they were all knock out. Lloyd let go off the staff. He reached for air as he did so. He took a moment to collect himself, then covered the staff and set off to the monastery once again.

When he got to the monastery, everyone except Kai, Cole and Jay greeted him. It was good to see all the other there, but how come that Kai, Jay and Cole weren't there? Lloyd had though he would be the last one to arrive after having that little battle with the Onis.

"Where are the others?" Lloyd asked as he joined Zane and Nya.

"They said they had some complications, but that they will be here asap" Wu said with a sight. "Then we must not waste any time. The enemy is powerful and we still have to destroy them" Garmadon said, walking to Lloyd and interrupting Wu as he talked. When he was standing before Lloyd he gave his son a smile. Lloyd was happy his father was back, and that he didn't have to fight him again. In fact they were on the same side, fighting together, how crazy was that? It was weird, but it didn't bother Lloyd at all.

"You got the staff?" Garmadon asked Lloyd, trying to sound cold. Lloyd nodded and handed Garmadon the staff. The staff had the same effect on everyone, but it still surprised Lloyd.

"Guys! Do yo—copy!" it was Kai's voice, he was on the screen of the cave, where they held the vehicles. But there's was no video, something was wrong. Lloyd could feel it.

Pixal was the first to react and reach out to answer him. "We copy you, what's going on there?" she asked, her voice reveling worry. All must have been at least a bit worried at the sudden message of Kai. It had startled all of them.

"Pixal! We---backup! We're surrounded and –numbered!" Jay's voice said. Though the message was cutted, they all could get it. They needed help. And by the how they sounded they needed it now.

"Where are you guys?" Pixal said. Lloyd walked near Pixal as she talked. He was worried, worried for his friends, for what could happen to them.

"Outside —org –wer! " This time it was Cole, it seemed he was fighting since the message finished with him grunting.

"Cole! Repeat! The message cutted out, where are you?" Nya said. Lloyd hadn't noticed when she had joined him and Pixal, but it made perfect sense. His brother and Jay were there, she must be so worried for them.

"Bo-g Tower!, We're outside the Borg Tower!" That's the last thing they heard. Kai's voice telling them where to find them, but being cutted just as he finished.

"Kai. Kai!" Nya said with worry. But nothing came in, just static.

"We must go for them" Wu declared, dragging all the attention to him. No one said a word but they all nodded. And so, they all get into the vehicles to go rescue their friends. Nya got into a new car Pixal had designed, with her Master Wu, Garmadon and Pixal jumped in. Zane jumped into a jet as usually, and Lloyd into his bike, starting the engine. They didn't wasted a second and took off to the rescue of their friends. Lloyd just hoped they won't be too late..
