Zane's pov:
Two days have passed since the... incident... Zane was in classes, but his mind couldn't come to completely focus on what the teacher said. He had talked with Jay and Cole the other day and agreed that it was better to stay together. He also though of telling the other guys but they didn't had a way to contact them. So their best chance would be to try and find them at school.
What worried Zane was that part. The news that Lloyd's father gave them were hard to digest. He didn't know how the others would take it. What if they didn't come? Have they stayed home? Zane wouldn't blame them for that. But then how where they going to contact each other?
The bell rang, Zane took his thing and headed to his locker. He wanted to propose to go look for the others through the school. But he didn't know if they should split or not. For one, it could be suspicious to go out of their routine. But they would cover more space that way.
In that moment, he heard the steps of someone. It was Harumi, she was passing with some books. Zane still couldn't see how she was involved in all this. What had she done?
"Um.. Excuse me?" Someone said while touching his shoulder.
Zane inmediatly turned to see the person. He was actually surprised by who it was.
"Hi" Lloyd said.
"Hi"
"So... Me, Kai and Nya have some things to tell you, perhaps we can meet after school? "
"Uh- Sure" Zane replied
"Great, we'll be waiting by the doors, can you...can you tell the others?" Lloyd asked shyly
"Sure thing, um- can I know what it is all about?" Zane asked, he was curious to know the reason of this meeting.
"It may be better to be in some other place to tell you" Lloyd said while hiding his hands in his pockets and checking the hall. Zane understood that, they should be careful with all this. And he was pretty sure that Lloyd saw Harumi passing by. Zane didn't know why he reacted like that. However, he wasn't going to push the subject.
"Alright then, we'll see you later" Zane confirmed while closing his locker
"Yeah, see you later" Lloyd said while heading in the opposite direction.
"Wait!" Zane said stopping Lloyd from going away. The boy looked confused and surprised, he sure didn't expect this. But he stopped anyways.
"Maybe we can exchange numbers, it'll make it easier to contact each other. I think we can make a group chat so we can plan meetings like this" Zane explained
"Sure" Lloyd said while taking his phone out.
They both exchanged numbers and went separate ways. Each one agreed to add the others so they didn't had to waste any more time. Soon enough, Zane saw Cole and Jay talking in the cafeteria. He checked his phone, he still had plenty of time before they had to go back from their break.
"hey guys, sorry I'm late" Zane quickly said as he joined his friends at the table.
"good you're here man, after what happened... let's just say we were starting to worry" Cole explained while eating some cookies.
The guy sure loved sweets. That was a fact.
"Why were you late anyways?" Jay asked from across the table. Zane was glad he had asked that. It made it easier to explain.
"Well, I met with Lloyd in the hall" Zane started. That sure brought the attention of both his friends since Cole stared at Zane with the cookie in his hand at mid-air. "He said he and the others had something to tell us, though I'm not quite sure myself what it is about. He said we should meet to talk of it."
"That...That sounds so mysterious" Jay said.
"Well, we still need watch out for an evil headmaster and a girl that apparently can kill us. What did you expect?" Cole stated.
"Okay, fair enough" Jay quickly said defensively while putting his hands up. "When will that meeting be?"
"Today, after classes. They'll be waiting by the doors" Zane explained
"You don't think they'll tell us whatever that thing is, here right?" Cole asked
"Of course not!" Jay exclaimed "The school isn't safe, and if we're going to talk about what happened... it can't be here"
"I do think the same way" Zane agreed "They probably will take us to another place"
"Alright then" Cole ate the cookie in his hand that had been waiting since Zane first mentioned the topic. The bell rang, Zane couldn't believe how fast time had pass.
"Well, see you later guys" Jay said while standing up. Zane and Cole did the same and since they shared a class, they went in the same direction.
