Lloyd's pov:
The place itself was warm, but a breeze still blew through the area giving Lloyd a chill. He looked around to look for any comfortable place where he could rest, the only area left was some old sofas that had been abandoned and a desk that lay beside them. Seems they were remodeling before.
Lloyd took a sit on the little table beside Kai who was sitting on the old sofa. Nobody dared to talk. Not after.... What happened.... It was unbearable, really.
Pixal had taken Nya to check on a wound on her arm. Probably she got it during the battle when the building came down. But with all the commotion, no one had noticed it. Same with Cole, just that he had a bad wound on his side.
By the time the two elemental masters came back with their nindroid friend, Wu had already started a fire and was preparing some tea for everyone. Cole sat between Kai and Lloyd with his hand covering his injured ribs.
Nya, on the other side, didn't bother to look at anyone. She just sped up to the entrance of the abandoned construction.
"Nya-" Pixal started.
"I'm going for a walk. Won't get too far away. I'll be back soon enough." Her voice said coldly and heavy with loss before passing and getting out of sight of everyone.
"She just needs some time. She'll be back." Zane said from the opposite corner from Lloyd while reaching Pix and taking her hand...
"Of course she does, but she still can do something stupid" Kai said before standing up and going after his sister. He didn't look back as he passed the others.
"She went that way, there's nothing on that area" Kataru said from his seat on a window beside the entrance. Kai nodded and exited the base, running after Nya.
Lloyd couldn't take his eyes off that sight. It was painful to say the least. Seeing how those you care about suffer... and not being able to protect them. When Lloyd really started taking the lead of the team, he started feeling responsible for everyone one. And after loosing Nya, it had devastated him... He left the team after that. He now saw it was useless, he just felt lonely during the time.
Now losing Jay... it was hard... And this time there was no one to try to cheer everyone up. Jay was always the one who came up with jokes and tried to distract everyone from the bad. Even if it was annoying, Lloyd was starting to miss it.
"We'll go look for some dinner, we'll be back as soon as possible" Pixal's mechanical voice said calmly, getting Lloyd's attention off the entrance.
"Alright, be careful" he said as the two nindroids enlaced hands and exited the place. Leaving the quiet atmosphere behind.
"How are you dealing with?" a voice said from his left side.
Lloyd turned around quickly, meeting with Cole's chocolate eyes. His stare showed he was worried for him, but also some grief was detectable there.
"I'm... not sure..." Lloyd answered honestly while leaning on the wall behind him. "But I think I'll be fine. What about you?"
"Well, just dealing with the mortal silence here and some bruised ribs" He joked with a dying chuckle. Lloyd let a soft dying laugh too.
The teapot started whistling, informing everyone that the tea was ready. Wu patiently took the pot and served the hot drink on five cups. He then proceeded to give two cups to his brother while he gave the black ninja and the formling their respective drinks.
His father passed Lloyd the cup. He tried to say something, but to no avail. He just sighed while placing a comforting hand on Lloyd's shoulder and patted him before going back to his seat. At least it was a start.
