They faced one another as they got comfortable on the couch. The conversation flowed from the dining room into the living room as they discussed their childhood and teen years. He'd never gone to college but loved hearing about her time in college and the shenanigans she got up to. She had him laughing pretty hard at some of her stories and it made her feel good for some reason. The pair chatted until well past midnight. It took her off guard to see how late it had gotten. They just fit together so well that they could talk about anything and everything for long periods of time. Once again, she walked him to the door. He made her, once again, promise to lock the door behind her after he left. Pulling her into his arms for a tight hug felt like the most natural thing in the world to him. So much so he couldn't stop himself from leaning down and pressing his lips to hers. She didn't fight him on it and instead melted into their kiss. Even her ex didn't kiss her like this and they'd been together for three years! Quinn finally pulled away and told her to have a good night. She told him to drive safe back to the clubhouse.
As she promised, she locked the door behind him when she shut it. She smiled as she walked down to the bedroom to get changed for bed. Chibs was surprised to see Quinn strolling into the clubhouse so late. He wondered where the blond had been but Quinn just headed straight for the bunks to head to bed. Despite still being tired some, he was in a very good mood the following day. Even the little bit of ribbing from his brothers couldn't dampen his mood. As he was working on a particularly stubborn car, his phone buzzed in his pocket. Taking it out, he discovered it was a new text from his favorite woman.
Harlow: I had such a good time last night. I hoped you really enjoyed dinner. I'd love to do it again sometime. 😊
He smiled to himself hoping she wouldn't mind him coming over that night as well.
Quinn: I did too. Dinner was amazing. I'd love to have dinner with you again. Would tonight be a good night?
He hoped she didn't mind him coming over again so soon. It was just he loved spending time with her and she was a really good cook despite what her idiot ex had to say about it.
Harlow: I'd love to see you again tonight. I guess I'll see you about six then?
Quinn: sounds perfect. Have a good rest of your day 😉
She smiled seeing his text. Getting to see him was the highlight of her day. Now it was a matter of figuring out what to fix them for dinner. She was from Texas so perhaps some chicken fried steaks, homemade gravy, mashed potatoes, and fried okra with some homemade cornbread? It was a good, hearty southern meal. She hoped he'd like what she was cooking. He swore he liked her spaghetti. Hell, he'd even gone back for seconds! Her ex never went back like that so she was sure Quinn was telling her the truth. She took out a couple chicken fried steaks from the freezer to let them thaw before going back to work. There were several bugs in this game she was playing that were impeding game play so she shot off an email to the developers so they could fix it. Shortly before five, she shut everything down and went to prepare dinner. As she was getting the steaks cooking, she received a text from Quinn.
Quinn: hey Baby Doll. Do you mind if a couple of my brothers come to dinner too? I was stopped and asked where I was going and now they're bugging me about coming along, lol. I told them I had to ask you first.
She laughed figuring at some point their relationship would get out.
Harlow: that's fine. Shouldn't be too hard to make extras for the guests. How many?
Quinn: thanks! Just two we'll see you about six.
"Well? What did she say?" Tig inquired.
"She said it was ok." Quinn told him and Chibs.
