((ENDLESS)) Punz x Reader

Part XVIII

"Punz? I knocked on his door nervously, his dream mansion was finally completed. It was massive and made out of dark oak wood, massive window panes reflecting their light into patterns across the ground. My friend with his golden chain opened the door and smiled, "Hey Y/n."

"We have to revive Dream!" I blurted out, and his face instantly fell. He beckoned me to come inside and I made myself comfortable on a soft cloud sofa. Punz sat in front of me, and asked, "What do you mean? We just went through great lengths to kill him!"

"The universe isn't in balance," I explained, "It started with my powers-" Oh no not again. Hurriedly I threw my ender pearl, arriving back an instant after leaving. At least Foolish's plan worked, but this was the seventh time today. I was going to run out of pearls soon.

"So it's true," Punz nodded his head, "We assumed that you were part enderman this whole time. Somewhere in your lineage. I'm assuming you got your information from Foolish? The one who can live forever?"

"Only you and DreamXD can fix this," I explained, "Drista can only cause disturbances, and Callahan can only bring supplies and fix things in the background. You have the revived book, please do something."

He sighed, "But he'll make our lives a living nightmare! We would need some way to contain him, maybe an obsidian box with guardians so he'll never be able to break it or something." He suddenly saw my face and asked, "Are you okay?"

"I've spent the last two months in an obsidian box, it might as well have been a prison," I told Punz, "Nobody else deserves to suffer as I have."

"Do you have any other suggestions then?" Punz asked, "Because I sure don't. How can Dream be free but also not? Even if we were to dump him somewhere he'd make his way back, and chances are he would seek his revenge. I can't live with that constant fear; besides I'd be his #1 target after I betrayed him."

"I don't see that we have any other choice," I replied, "If you don't do something about it I'm visiting XD myself and fixing this disaster. He's the only person we can revive, and after the mass death Tubbo caused everything is super distorted, maybe forever-"

"Just give me some time," Punz snapped, "Give me time to figure it out. Besides, don't you think that Dream deserves to be free? A prison is just as bad as his limbo, and by now he's aged 5 years already. He'll never change Y/n! Five years isn't enough, if we revive him he needs to suffer more."

I shook my head, "We can just get Techno to kill him again. Or maybe-"

"We're done here," Punz said, "I'm sorry but I can't commit to a plan like that. Everything might be messed up in the universe, but that has nothing to do with me. If its anybody's fault it's Tubbo's to be honest. Dream was only a minor part of that whole situation, and me as his little sidekick. You know something I never told you, Y/n? I actually remember everything before the nuke. You didn't save me, you could've done something. We were good friends back then, best friends even. You might even argue-" He sighed, "Look Y/n, I used to have feelings for you. Clearly they weren't reciprocated, so I just broke down. That's when Dream came for me, manipulating me in my weakest state. Y'know what you did?" He raised an eyebrow, then lowered it when he said, "Nothing."

"But I'm not the old me-!" He quickly cut me off, "I told you, we're done. I've already overshared, and you've outstayed your welcome. Goodbye Y/n, perhaps in another life things could've worked out differently."

My heart sank into my feet, if only there were a way to reverse time...

656 Words, OMG THIS IS MY THIRD CHAPTER OF THE DAY! I'm literally so tired lol- I also probably could have consolidated these but tbh I'm kind of lazy right now. Let's see if we can get to 500 reads by tomorrow! If you do I'll post an extra chapter on Saturday or something. <3
