The next day, Neteyam woke me up a little later than normal. I wasn't particularily pleased to be awake (when was I ever) but the second I saw the excitement on his face the sleepiness washed away from my body instantly. "It's been two weeks," He hums, grinning widely at me as I crawled up and laid on his chest, mirroring his smile. "It has indeed," I respond, placing my chin on his collarbones as I stared into his eyes.

"How are you feeling? And I don't mean like do you feel sick or tired ect, I mean how do you feel about this?" He asks, studying my face intently as I peacefully closed my eyes. "I'm ok. Excited actually. I don't want us to get our hopes up just yet, but I'm excited nonetheless." I tell him, leaning my head to one side. I could feel his estatic grin on his face the second I told him I was excited. I knew he had been worried about how I really felt about this and after my conversation with the girls last night I was glad to tell him truthfully that I was ok for this.

"Really?" He almost shouts, grabbing my body as he sat himself up abruptly. He pulls me into his lap, wrapping my legs around him while I draped my arms over his shoulders. I smile down at him, playing with his hair in my hands. "Yes, really. I will admit, I wouldn't choose for us to have a family so early but I'm ok with it either way. I think I am ready now." I knew Neteyam could hear the smaller thoughts at the back of my mind, like how I was still a little afraid of becoming my mother and losing my freedom so early in our lives, but he didn't seem to press me on them. He only held onto my hips and let me kiss him in my happiness.

"Whatever happens, we do this together. Always," He breathes out onto my lips, placing his forehead against mine caringly. "Always..." I whisper back, holding his face gently in my hands as we just breathed together, ready for whatever awaited us. "I don't want to have to wait any longerrr..." Neteyam groans, throwing his head back into my arms as I giggled at him, loving how impatient he was to find out one of the most important parts of our lives.

"Well you only have to wait until after breakfast, I'm sure you can do that can't you?" I giggle at him, scratching the top of his head lightly. He closes his eyes and hums, enjoying the little head massage I was giving him while he thought. "Do we have to get breakfast first? Can't we just go straight to med bay?" He whines, looking into my arms when he brought his head back upright. "I mean if you want me to pass out while I take my blood, sure." I smile cheesily, seeing his face falter at the thought. "Breakfast it is then. Lots of sugar!"

I clamber off of his lap and stand up, holding my hand out for him to take. He takes my hand in his and hoists himself onto his feet, wrapping his arms around me once we were both stood. "I love you, Ai'ina." He mumbles into the top of my head, kissing it a few times before I could look at him. "I love you more, Neteyam." We grin at eachother and take the other's hand, lacing our fingers as we stepped out into the morning sun.

Neteyam was dragging me the entire journey down to the feast circle, too excited to go at a slow and normal pace. It made me laugh everytime he would pull me a little harder, telling me to hurry up. It reminded me of his little sister, and I realised after the first 3 times he did it where she got it from. They were way more alike then what they probably realised, and that was also probably why she had taken to me so quickly.

We went straight over to the food tables, grabbing our chosen breakfasts before we made our way to the group. They were all almost finished with their own breakfasts when we sat down, but with the pace that Neteyam immediately started devouring his breakfast I knew that it wasn't going to be an issue at all.

"So, are you guys excited?" Tsireya asks, beaming at us as I started to eat my breakfast. "Can't you tell," I chuckle, pointing to my husband who was putting as much food into his mouth as possible. Kiri laughs at her brother, holding her stomach as she started to go off balance from the amount she was laughing while Tsireya giggled, covering her mouth subconsciously. "Well he will have to wait, mum wanted to talk with you before you went to take the test. I spoke to her about what you said to us last night." Kiri says breathlessly, putting her hand on Tuk's shoulder.
