The Hidden Crystal

The goddess got to the pack, and the alpha who took over then was still the alpha now, aged but still had some fight in him.
"Goddess?" he questioned as he saw the white wolf trotting towards him. He knew the goddess wolf form and was surprised that she was actually like that.
'It's been years'
"Indeed it has! Many actually... But why wolf may I ask"
'I have given my title over, I'm tired Nick and I want to see the world as you do'
"You gave your title? So who would be the goddess now?"
'One of the four blessed, she is the daughter of the king alpha and queen luna'
"There's a new king and queen?!"
'Yes and they want to do the same as before'
"We could be at peace"
'Yes'
"Have you ever heard from him?"
'Not since that day, no and he hid from me so well while I was goddess. I miss him Nick'
"So do I Selene, so do I. My guess is that you need us and the crystal correct?"
'Yes, we need all packs, including the original ones'
"Good luck with that, I mean I don't mind but the pack that is protecting the sky crystal, became stubborn and are thinking of themselves as, should I say deity"
'They were always pompous, thinking their asses are bougie when they are exactly like the rest of us'
"I know right, so when do we move?"
'As soon an you possibly can'

Back at the pack house Namjoon and Taehyung were rushing in to get Jins father in bed to be rest, Jin haven't arrived yet and they know it would be a while.
Jungguk ordered the doctors and some nurses to tend the Jins father immediately when he heard of their arrival and was genlty holding onto his mate to calm him down as they watched them do their work. Namjoon was outside pacing back and forth hoping to get some news about his soon to be father in law and his pacing was giving Hoseok a headache.
"Could you sit down, they are checking on him and your headache inducing pacing is not going to speed things up!"
"I'm sorry, I'm just nervous. He was never like this when I first saw him, it was like practically overnight that his health went down"
"Just relax... Wait... When they come out we will know what to do... So SIT!" Hoseok shouted which made Namjoon sit on the chair opposite him,
"Good boy"
Patience... Everything relied on patience and Namjoon knew that very well, but this, this has him wishing that the word 'patience' didn't exist. Its been three hours and it felt like an eternity, his mate asked through link about his father and he had no choice but to be honest with him, he just don't know.

The waiting game was now over as he saw his alpha and luna walk out with a questioning expression, followed by the doctors and nurses.
"Tell me, tell me anything, something, please" he begged while quickly getting up from his seat,
"Namjoon, there's something embedded in his chest and his body is fighting it, but it is also keeping him alive, we would have to remove it and any tissue around it for him to heal properly."
"What... What is it that has him like this?"
"A crystal", after the doctor said that the place went silent, even Hoseok was in shock!
"Namjoon, I was told that he is your mate's father, seeing that your mate is not here yet would you like to advise? I know it's hard but we need to know soon"
"I-I, no... I can't. Jin would be here by tonight, latest tomorrow morning. I will let him know now and we would wait". The thing is, Namjoon was alreay feeling the pain of his mate, knowing there's a possibility that he might loose his father, so telling him this would be one of the hardest things he would have to do.

The next day, Jin arrived and agreed to the surgery, the doctors wasted no time and prepared for it. Jin knew he had to explain and it would seem like now would be a better time than ever, "Joonie, can we talk?"

Namjoon was speechless after he heard everything, the fact that Jins father went through great lengths to hide the crystal in his own body because of another pack that tried to take it was unbelievable and Jin was inconsolable, the fact that his father is in surgery to get the very crystal their pack swore to protect out with the possibility that he may not make it made things 'brittle' so to speak,
"We must let the king and queen know so at least we can prepare ourselves for whatever may come" Namjoon said as he comforted his mate while they wait for word about the ongoing surgery.

Anais made no error in her decision and brought the lead lined box to the hospital, after days of reading countless history books she figured that at least one crystal joined with the dark crystal would purify it. Walking the halls, holding the box with both hands in front her she stopped and looked at the couple, feeling the pain that Jin is going through, Anais bowed in respect for what Jins father had done to keep his pack and the crystal safe, "I will mot let your father pass for it is not his time, however I will have to take the crystal... Is that okay with you?" she spoke, her voice gentle and soothing,
"You sound like a goddess", jin said and that made her chuckle,
"In sixteen years, indeed I am" she replied and that made Jin eyes widened,
"So it's true... What they said is true, you're the new moon goddess!"
"Shhhh, lets not make things hectic ok" Anais said as she winked at Jin, who understood what she meant.

Walking to the operation room, her silvery hair shone as she called for the surgeon, instructing him to send someone to assist her in preparation to be in the operating room. Now it's two crystals down... Two to go!
