The Lack Of

Its been a year now since Jungguk had started the preparation for the grand meet up, and his senses were on edge. Thanks to a certain someone who is trying his hardest to make things difficult for Jungguk, Alpha Mike.

The alpha is now more determined now than ever to get Jungguk to fail, somewhere along the line. Jungguk smelt the rat and didn't need to do much to foil Mikes plans. It was getting tiring as a matter of fact, Jungguk felt like he was babysitting a grown ass man who is acting like a petty child.

Having enough of his bullshit, Jungguk called a meeting to send Alpha Mike on a mission... A very useless mission, but making it seem important.
Alpha Mike took the opportunity of leaving the pack to return to his, so he could begin to plot and send out spies in different packs to figure out who is the luna queen reincarnate. He would be away for a year or so and that would give him ample time to figure it out and get his plan in motion to become alpha of Jungguks pack.

Meanwhile in Taehyung's pack, the now eight year old is in the fields with his friends running in their wolf forms, Tae's wolf 'Lae' glimmered silvery white in the day but showed a purpleish black at night. His pack were sworn to secrecy, playing in the field his tail was like a beacon, tall, wistful and regal. Making him easy to find, which was no fun for him at all.
Taehyung's parents told him that he would be leaving the pack to train elsewhere in a few days and that he is not allowed to turn wolf while in training during the day, so not to risk him being found out. "There are still those who wish not to become one kingdom and would do anything to keep it the way it is now, little one. That is why you must train your magic and your strength in human form. Be as powerful as your mate" those words from his mother rang through Tae's head while he strut through the field, knowing that soon he would not be seeing his friends for a long time.

Tae left and he cried like a baby, but he knew it had to be done. His studies and training comes first and he would not return until he's eighteen, so ten years of study and training, oh what fun! He always liked art and medical, so why not do both and his training would be done under the preference of him being an alpha and not a queen luna, so training would be tough.

The first two years were brutal for Tae but by the forth and fifth year he got into the grove of things. Jimin went to visit him and to say he was shocked was an understatement. Tae built muscle but not overbearingly and he looked even more handsome than before, now he has the mindset of an alpha and his studies proved it as he was top in class. "look at you! All muscular an shit, damn son, if you weren't like a brother to me I'd definitely tap dat!" Jimin said as he eyed tae from head to toe making the latter laugh. "So how's mom, dad and the pack?" tae asked as they sat in a restaurant reading the menu before ordering.

"your parents and the pack are fine, a lill mishap here and there but they were all sorted out, we have a major get together coming up in the largest pack soon. It's a shame you couldn't come though" Jimin said as he slightly pouted, missing his tae.

"It's ok, I'm sure you would have fun without me. Remind me when we get to the apartment to give you the jacket. I got used to the cold weather that I no longer need it." Tae replied as the waiter came to take their orders.
While waiting, "you... Got accustomed... To this?" Jimin started, "It's a Flipping frozen tundra... Look at it!" he continued as he pointed outside, "it's balls freezing temp outside... And you're used to it? Gad damn!" Tae could only laugh because its true, The wind was at negative two and the snow was as white as ever making everything look like it was sugar coated.

After having their meal and chatting a bit, they headed to Taes' apartment which wasn't far from the restaurant or the campus. Jimin spent as much time as he could with Tae and before you knew it, his week was up. The get together would be in two days time so Jimin would be heading there straight.

It was dead ass cold when Jimin arrived at the blood moon pack and he was wondering if it was colder here than where tae was studying. But blessings do come in disguise, since Tae gave him the jacket. Walking through the pack and heading to the main pack house to confirm where his pack is and on his way there  he got a whiff. It was delectable mouth wateringly arousing... MATE!
Jimin fought the urge to search for his mate as he needed the formalities first... Walking into the pack house he heard a growl, a very possessive one. Looking around and getting the scent of an alpha his eyes spotted Jungguk, who was leaning on the rail on the second floor.

Jungguk eyes glowed from the scent... MATE! But why is it faint? Jungguk wasted no time and jumped from the second floor balcony, landing in front a surprised Jimin. "There are two scents coming from you... Why?" Jungguk asked making Jimin snapped out of his thoughts and sniffed himself, "O-Oh, this. This is my best friends jacket, he gave me it before I came here!" Jimin answered and not before long the jacket was removed and Jungguk sniffed it, realizing it was his mates.

Jungguk gave Jimin a look that said 'Where is he?' and Jimin picked up on it immediately. "He-He's not here, actually he can't be here" Jungguk growled at Jimin statement, "He's studying and training and wouldn't be back for another five years" Jungguk heart sank, but he was happy. He found his mate, well not really but it's a start. Jungguk felt now like he is lacking everything, due to this fading scent.

Jimin however didn't know that Taehyung's mate was right in front of him. Jungguk's actions screams intruder because of the two scents he picked up, not thinking that it was the latter. After jimin introducing himself properly and being lead to his pack house, Jungguk ensured to lock that wonderful scent in his memory, that wonderfully intoxicating aroma of lavender and forest dew, he can't wait to see the person behind that world stopping scent.
