They piled out of the bedroom and Wednesday walked behind them, observing their surroundings, at all the other diverse teenagers. Xavier led the way while Enid and Ajax walked in the middle. Ajax was allowing her to talk his ear off.

His snakes are probably dying to turn her to stone but he just listened and laughed.

She put her attention on Xavier, towered over the majority of people. He walked with a long stride, he looked like the embodiment of power.
She watched his face as he would turn to look to his sides, indicating he was observing everyone as she was. His jawline clear as day with his hair back. His eyes dark pools of moss and agate. She thought he was absolutely gorgeous.

Thing tapped her on her shoulder and she was taken out of whatever trance she was in. She looked around and they were already in the courtyard. No one behind the micorphone as of yet.

The three others formed in a completed circle with Wednesday standing in place.
"It'll start any minute." Xavier insisted.

"Ooh, what kind of ability do you think they have?" Enid asked her friends, excited per usual.

"I'll put money on an Imp." Ajax joked.

"Centaur," Xavier copied Ajax's tone and they all look at Wednesday who had her arms folded, appearing that she didn't care, because she didn't.

She avoided their eyes and looked around but played along so they wouldn't hound her. "Leprechaun."

They laughed at the chain of obnoxious guesses and just in time, the schools staff walked in, along with an unfamiliar woman who walked up behind the microphone.

She tapped it, getting everyone's attention. Her appearance was easing on the eyes, a mix between elegent and wild, everyone would be looking at her brown eyes and frame but Wednesday noticed the few wrinkles caused by worry on her forehead and the scar on her upper lip and the look in her eyes and body language indicating she is harmless and has probably never intentionally hurt another soul in her approximately thirty-eight years living on this Earth.

"Hello Nevermorians, I am very pleased to see you guys this semester, my name is Mrs. Sapphire, I am new here as Principle but not in general; You see, I attended this school as a teenager as well and I have very much missed this place, I have my most fondest memories within these walls." Her voice poured out like honey and it had a comforting effect on pretty much everyone listening.

Wednesday and Thing acknowledged each other and he took that as his sign. He reached the ground and went to go on the look out.

"Although, I am aware that much has changed..  My purpose here is to give you the education and safety you are required while here. What effects one of us, effects all of us. As long as you are here, you are a team. That being said, if anyone ever has any concerns, come to me with them and we will get to the bottom of it together. I know a lot of you may not be happy to have a new principle and under the circumstances of why that is, neither am I.

We will be having a memorial for dear Miss Weems in the next month, during that time I would like to ask if anyone would like to volunteer to write a Eulogy for everyone here at Nevermore to keep her alive."

A few people raised their hands. "Alright, great, any volunteers for theme decor?"

Enid raised her hand and gave Ajax a pout, causing him to raise his too.

Oh no Wednesday thought.

"Perfect, we will also need a mural of her, any artists willing to take a shot?"

Now it was Xavier's turn to raise a hand.
"Thank you, Mr. Thorpe. Is anyone willing to help him?"

Without debating on the answer, Wednesday blurted it out intrusively.

"I will."

Xavier looked down at her, shocked. She glanced up at him quickly before returning her eyes to her new principle. She sensed other people around the room giving her the same amount of surprise.

"Miss Addams, perfect. I trust you all will make this perfect and make her proud. By the end of the day come visit me in my office so I can take account for the volunteers. I am very proud to be here with you guys and I hope this semester is the best one yet for you guys." She smiled at everyone and told them they were excused.

She started walking away but a figure caught up. "What did you master the art of painting like everything else during break?" Xavier fell into unison with her steps.
Wednesday sighed. "No."
That answer only made Xavier more confused. "But you can teach me."

Xavier looked at her, once again shocked but then again he knew how much she started caring for Weems and it's understandable to want to be part of the Memorial in honor of her.

Emotions aren't her strong suit, she wouldn't be able to write about her, shes no good with color so there goes decorating. Painting her would be the easiest option for Wednesday.

He nodded, "I would love to, Wednesday. I'll text you when it's ready to start, okay?"

She looked up at him. She felt vulnerable. Her chest hurt talking about this and who she was talking to didn't help. She nodded in response. He gave her a reassuring smile and a quick squeeze of the shoulder then walked away, leaving her there wanting more but unaware of what.

She walked back to her room and met up with Thing. He said he saw nothing unusual other than the fact of her willingly volunteering in a social event which earned a glare from Wednesday.
