The next few classes flew by, Wednesday didn't learn anything new; she already knew it all. The few classes after Geometry Xavier weren't in with her but the last class of the day, Geography.
Of course, they sat with each other again, getting more looks from people of the odd consistency that occurred today.
Mr. Nicolae taught this class, today he was teaching us where each 'kind' comes from.
"Can anyone tell me where vampires originated from?"
Xavier and Wednesday raised their hands and he called on Xavier.
"Early eighteenth-century Southeastern Europe."
"Good, now where did physics come from?"
Once again, they both raised their hands, although she appreciated the fact Xavier was not dumb, she gave him a slight glare. He got the last answer, she wanted this one.
"It is said Physics originated from Western Europe during the Renaissance. Although, there is evidence of it in ancient Greece." Wednesday said confidently but as always, monotonal.
"Know it all," A male student with brown curly hair and freckles all over his body muttered, loud enough to get a reaction out of Wednesday.
"Maybe if you were actually interested in your capacity of knowledge, you would be privileged with the same title also,"
Snickers were heard around the room, and the curly haired boy put his head down in embarrassment while his buddy next to him pushed his shoulder while laughing at him. Wednesday looked back to the front of the room, satisfied with her response. Xavier was beside her with his hand on his forehead, shaking his head, trying to hide the fact he was amused.
Mr. Nikolae spoke up, "Although, Wednesday has a point, that is not the way I would have put it-" He clasped his hands together. "You tend to soak up and memorize more when you are genuinely interested in the subject you are learning. And as my job as your teacher, I am supposed to help you with that. So, if you do not enjoy my classes, I will take half the blame for it. But you guys have to promise to attempt to meet me halfway."
Everyone agreed with him and mumbled appropriate responses.
The rest of the class Xavier and Wednesday discussed a packet the Nikolae passed out to the class. Xavier would give her looks as if he was adoring her and she would try to distract herself to not smile, nobody could see her smile or else they would detect weakness. She wouldn't mind letting one slip if it was just them in the room.
Wednesday peaked through her dark lashes at his smile, he was an artist but he himself was art.
The bell rang and threw her out of her trance, everybody slumped their bags over their shoulders then walked out.
They were going to work on the portrait tonight with Ajax and Enid tagging along for company. They haven't all hung out yet and Enid was insisting on it.
"I'm thinking we should sketch the portrait before we add the paint, seeing as realistic portraits are more complex than any kind of art forms." Xavier explained the game plan. Wednesday silently nodded, agreeing.
"Sounds safe,"
He smirked, recalling a memory. "I saw you smirking at Christina when she walked in," He stopped walking and faced her.
"I recall that,"
He pulled her closer by her jacket, "You're adorable."
She avoided his eyes for a moment, shyly. "That is more of an insult than a compliment."
She looked at him and seen his smirk turn into a grin. Every cell in her body craved every cell in his at that moment, not even in a sexual way. She just wanted to be close to him- further than humanly possible.
He leaned down hesitantly, probably testing to see if she could kiss him on front of people. She stood still, looking between his eyes and lips, waiting.
Xavier kissed her lips tenderly, two finger tips below her chin, holding her head up.
Wednesdays body was screaming I love you but she couldn't bring herself to randomly say it. She was sure he felt it in the kiss, though; because his did too.
When they pulled apart from the kiss, they were both surprised and slightly startled of a person standing abnormally close.
"It is about time, guys! The tension was getting unbearable."
Wednesday stared at her best friend, beside her stood Ajax, of course.
Before anyone could get out another word, Ajax steered Xavier away and Enid walked Wednesday in the opposite direction. Wednesday and Xavier stole confused looks at each other, both disappointed by the distance.
"Don't worry, you're going to see him in about twenty minutes, we are going to get dressed in casual clothes and go to town."
They walked towards their dorm. "I was under the impression we were going to do the mural, first." Wednesday furrowed her eyebrows, confused.
"That was the plan but you know how crowded the courtyard is at this time so I figured we could all go for a lunch and then come back to work on it," Enid cheered.
"So, in other words, you want to fulfill your fantasy of a double date." They reached their hallway.
"I've been on a double date before, just not with you guys."
Enid was always happy, it could easily lighten up a room but when she was sad, it could make anyone who catches a glimpse of her sad werewolf eyes saddened. She felt emotions so strongly, Wednesday sometimes envied her carefree personality.
