Chapter 9

Error regretted his decision a lot. He was used to living alone in a white empty place, not in a castle full of people. Cohabitation was hard for him and Nightmare's idiots weren't making it easier for the destroyer.

Killer wasn't hiding his opinion of the glitch presence and Cross was ready to jump on him anytime. Dust and Horror were more passive but Error could see their suspicious looks. Except for Nightmare, no one here trusted him, and even if he wouldn't admit it for all the chocolate in the world, it hurted.

But it didn't matter, he was here to restore the balance a bit so Nightmare and his abominations could work. He already went on raids with the gang, which went great after Nightmare told them to listen to the destroyer.
Today was going to be Nightmare's first raid. The guardian was feeling better and wanted to help his lover so when they came back from a mission a few days ago, he asked to come too.

The gang was against it at first but they couldn't do anything against the guardian's determination, especially when he got Error's support.
Honestly, the destroyer had no idea why they didn't want him on a mission. Sure he wasn't as dangerous as before and was more passive but he could still kick the stars' asses.

"Hey Nightlight...There is something we need to talk about before going out..." Killer said with a wary voice. The others were behind him and they all looked guilty or something.

Nightmare must have seen that because he smiled and softly approached the other skeletons.

"Yes, Killer what is it?" The guardian paused before adding a soft "You can tell me anything."

Error kept looking at the guardian, with the small lilac blush on his face and that adorable smile he was beautiful. Nightmare had always been different from the others but now he was back to his old self Error was finding him prettier than ever.

"The thing is...Well..."

Killer's hesitation made the destroyer tense. This idiot was always so sure of himself, it was weird to see him acting like that. He didn't like it.

"Hey...It's okay, take your time." Nightmare said carefully petting the other's cheek.

Cross, Dust, and Horror were as uneasy as Killer, and Nightmare was starting to be afraid. What could they have been hiding from him that was making them so nervous?

"Well we talked to you about the Stars Sanses but you didn't hear about the third member..." Cross nervously said.

Oh... Now Error understood why they insisted that Nightmare stayed home and why they were so nervous now. He wondered how the guardian will react to his brother's presence on the enemy's side.

"There is another person with Ink and Blue? Who is it?"

Killer took a deep breath and give a sorry look to the guardian, they all did, even Error.

"It's Dream."

Nightmare's reaction didn't come as fast as expected, in shock the guardian was silent at first. When he started talking again his voice sounded weird to Error's ears. It was too high, almost like a kid holding his tears. It didn't sound right at all.

"What do you mean it's Dream...? Dream wouldn't do that! He knows about the balance! He..."

Error moved toward his friend when he saw the tears drooling from his face. It wasn't right...This was Nightmare, he was powerful and strong and he had perfect control of his emotions. Seeing the king of negativity crying...Error hated it. He hated it so much.

"Hey Octopus...It's okay..."

"No!! Dream wouldn't hurt you! He... He couldn't even hurt a bug! Come on Killer! It's not funny so tell me it was just a bad joke...Please..." Nightmare said and practically begged, looking at all of the skeletons in the living room.
