Error regretted letting Nightmare go in his first mission so much. He should have waited and told the guardian that he wasn't ready and that he should stay home. But nooo he had to say yes to his adorable face and now everything was upside down.

When they came back in hurry, Error temporarily took the lead and transformed one of the countless rooms in the castle into an infirmary. There was already one but it was too small for all of them and he had a lot of injured people.

Dust was the one with the less serious wounds so he helped the destroyer a lot and was the one bringing him what he needed to work on the injuries and wounds of the gang. Horror had a broken bone on his left leg and several cracks on his arms. Cross had been burned by Ink's red paint and Error winced when he saw the state of the soldier's ribcage. It was cracked from everywhere and magic was leaking from it.

Fortunately for them, Error was good at doing bandages and fixing cracked and fissured bones. He had a lot of experience with the number of fights he got with Ink so they weren't that hard to heal, especially with the help of Dust. In a little less than two days, the two skeletons were feeling better even if they were still hurt they could leave the infirmary.

Killer was more of a problem than any other, he had been unconscious for more than three days and they were starting to get really worried about him. But on the fourth day, he woke up. He had a big head catch that came from the huge crack of his skull but Error took care of that when he was still unconscious. His magic level was low so the destroyer had to force him to lower the amount he normally used and let's say that Killer wasn't cooperating at all.

He wanted to go back to the AU and fight with the Star Sanses until death. Even if Error wanted to kill them all too he kept the murderer with him in the castle, where everybody was safe.

And there was Nightmare...Since the last fight, two weeks ago, the guardian still hadn't woken up. Sometimes he had some kind of crisis with high fever and pain seeing how he was moaning in those moments.

Error tried everything, magic, medical furniture, food, monster candy. Everything! He tried everything and it wasn't working at all! He got all the paint away from the guardian bones and goop and carefully took the arrow out of his chest but it didn't change anything either. Nightmare was still asleep and in pain.

Two days ago Error noticed that the guardian's soul was pulsing differently, it was weaker. When he checked Nightmare's magic levels and saw how low they were, the destroyer saw red and started destroying the infirmary. Cross came to stop him and when he did Error, who couldn't control his emotions anymore cried with everything he got on his knees.

He couldn't do it anymore. The gang was hurted, the stars hated them so much that they didn't even want any peace and Nightmare was dying. All the pressure and stress he pushed away came back and hit him like a train.

Cross looked like he wanted to comfort him but he didn't know how without touching him. Error couldn't hear anything else than the sound of his glitches and some echo of the anti-void voices so he didn't hear Cross yelling at Horror for something and help.

He only noticed the warm blanket and the hot cocoa in front of him. When he rose his head they were all here with him, Dust, Cross, Killer, and Horror. They made him feel safe so for the first time in his life the destroyer let himself cry. He trusted others and allowed himself to be in a vulnerable position in front of them.

From that moment they started to relay Nightmare guard duty and forced Error to sleep and eat something even if the destroyer said he didn't need it.

During Nightmare's crisis, Monster candies were really useful because the guardian was hurting himself in his sleep. He didn't have his tentacles anymore due to his lack of magic but he could still do serious damage.
