The ambiance at the Star Sanses HQ was awful since the last fight with Nightmare's gang and Error. Dream locked himself into his room when they got back from the battle and Blue was getting more worried as the days were passing. The golden guardian wasn't eating anymore and he refused to talk to them.

Ink tried to cheer him up with painting and jokes but Dream didn't even smile once. Blue worked harder than ever in the kitchen but it didn't work either. On the fifth day, the little warrior decided it was enough. Dream needed to get better whether he wanted it or not!

So while Ink was encouraging him in the back with cheerleader pom poms, Blue headed to Dream room with a determined look. He didn't know why this fight upset his friend so much but he won't let Nightmare and his minions make his friend sad.

He slowly entered the room only to see Dream sited in front of the window and looking into nothing. He was holding a painting against his chest and had tears trails all over his face. He looked miserable.

"Dream we need to talk. You can't stay here without eating anything like that. It's not good for you and...we're worried about you..."

Dream slowly turned his head toward Blue and sighed. Blue's expression was saddened when he saw his friend's state closer. The guardian was the shadow of what he was before. His warm and kind smile left the place for an empty expression that kinda looked like Ink's one when he drank white. His eyes were fader than ever and his bones had a grey color instead of the bright white the guardian usually got when he was in good health.

"Hey Dream..."Ink said in a tentative to cheer his friend or at this point get any kind of reaction. "Do you want some yellow...? Or another color if you want! You look a little white right now..."

The creator nervously fidgeted his finger on his paint, Dream was starting to make him really uneasy right now. He was startled when Blue put a hand on his shoulder shooking his head. Right...Dream couldn't drink his paint without getting sick.

"Dream tell us what happened there, please! We can help! We know it's Nightmare's fault, we saw you talking to him."

Dream tensed and tighten his grip on the painting he was holding when Blue mentioned his brother. The warrior sited next to his friend and started to hug him but not too hard so the guardian could escape if he felt trapped and uneasy. Dream had fought against Nightmare thousand times but he never became so miserable after them. Something must have happened.

"He...he..." The guardian tried to say but couldn't as his voice was shivering and he was almost bursting into tears.

"It's okay Dream...Take your time." Blue said, softly rubbing his friend's back.

Dream took a deep breath before turning back to his friends, he was avoiding their eyes a little ashamed. He was the guardian of positivity he shouldn't be like that. He should be the cheerful one who gives everyone hope.

"Last time in the fight, we were winning and I almost had him but he...He tried to make me believe he was Nighty..."

As much as Dream was talking, tears were drooling on his face. He tried to stop crying but the tears just wouldn't stop. His whole body was shaking and his respiration started to get irregular.

"He! He killed my friends, my mother, and my brother! And now he has the nerve to pretend to be him!"

Without any hesitation, Blue hugged his crying friend. Dream was already on the edge with Nightmare's recent absences on the battlefield, he didn't need to be more worried like that. The golden guardian thought he was plotting something because there was no way the monster who took his brother would stop hurting people.
