Tōru picked up a glass ball, the paintings on the outside creating all sorts of stories, "How does this look, knight?" He asked, turning to you- his personal knight that gets paid to follow him around. "It looks lovely, sir." The spear like weapon you were carrying with you held straight, warning everyone that you were ready, armor shining in the sun. "How much?" He leaned over the counter, propping his head up in one hand while the other held the sphere, "On the house for the soon-to-be king!" The old man let out a belly laugh, "That wont do," Tōru said as he snapped his fingers, you handing him a pouch of gold, "Here you are, good sir!" He walked away, you following, as the man stumbled over his words, "O-oh! Thank you!"

He walked towards the castle, knowing how much his father hated him leaving to do all sorts of "Not very prince like things!", surely getting a lecture when he returns home. "Knight, I don't want to," He softly said, looking at the castle steps as he walked, "I know sir," You didn't know how to reply, knowing that he had to choose a wife in just a couple hours. "I told you to drop the 'sir' act, knight," he chuckled, "Apologies, Tōru," You let out a smile, going back to a neutral face when he looked at you, "Much better!"

Tōru sat in his throne, you beside him, looking at all the noble women standing in front of him with his head propped on his fist. "At least try to look interested, Tōru." The queen hushed, making sure no one else could hear, "I am," He was snarky, ready to just go to bed. The queen was about to retort when the king hushed them both, "Thank you, kind, beautiful women, for coming here and being my son's wife!" Tōru grimaced, "Tōru," the king gestured to the women, "Try to make up your mind before the party, okay?" He huffed as servants lead the women to their rooms, Tōru going to his with you following him. He opened his door and flopped down on his bed, exhausted from sitting in a chair.

"Tōru, are you okay?" You knew the answer, "I don't want to marry one of them," He started as he got up, walking towards the window with a sigh, "I don't want a wife, I want something else!" His wording confused you, "You mean a husband, or...?" You saw his reflection, watching as his eyes casted downwards, "Yeah, I want a husband." He looked at you through the window, "Knight, is that weird?" You straightened up, surprised by his question, "No! I-I mean no, Tōru-sir-Tōru." You stuttered as he laughed, looking happy as he leaned against the window, "Thanks, knight." You couldn't see his red face.

Tōru awoke the next morning to the knocking he knew so well- you created a pattern so he knew it was you. He smiled as he sat up and stretched, the door opening as you walked in. You weren't wearing your armor, only the undergarments to it. Holding a tray full of berries, a cup of tea, and some pancakes, you walked over to him and sat it down. "Morning, Tōru," You stood up straight, "Knight, why don't you have breakfast with me?" You felt the blood rushing to your face, "Oh, I wouldn't want to protrude!" You held your hands up, stopping when Tōru held your hands with his, "Please, knight?" How could you say no to him?
