I need to stop romanticising
Every part of my life
I need to stop seeing leaves
And forgetting they'll turn brown after the red
I need to cease seeing a pretty face
And imagining a life together
I can't keep daydreaming
Him, he, they, I won't see again
It's stupid to stop on the sidewalk
When the rain will make me frozen
Why do I imagine ways I could be hurt
When it will only tear me down
What is romantic about
This wretched world we live in?
