The Rages

Livid hearts plead for vengeance.

Broken hearts demand repercussions.

Rage burns red on visages

Heartbreak drips tears across expressions.

On the inside,

One is lying defeated in the ruins

Eyes dark to inflict pain

Helpless but enraged

The other paces vehemently

Forgotten tears trailing down cheeks

Lethal with double-edged knives

You fear harm from them,

But their swords are rusted

And the ones you think have fallen.

Are about to rise up.

A broken heart is not harmless,

And a livid heart is not the sharpest knife.
