"You can't depend on anything to stay the same."
"Just one question...how did I end up here?"
The beach was one of many, many, many things that Yukino didn't like. Maybe that surprises you, or maybe it doesn't. Either way, it's the cold, hard truth. She'd always found cold saltwater to be entirely unpleasant. She despised the feeling of sand around her feet. And the seagulls...
Seagulls were far up high on the list of things that Yukino hated most. Really, what business did they have, being so outrageously annoying?
Knowing this, you might ask yourself; if she hates the beach so much, why would she go?
Well, she wouldn't. Not willingly.
Tutting at her, the twins wagged their fingers. "Don't you remember?"
"At the end of our last adventure at the waterpark..."
"Haruhi said she'd like to go to a real beach!"
Deadpanning, Yukino looked away from the ocean to cast them a side-eyed glance. "You're the ones who seem to be forgetting. That chapter wasn't included in the story because I didn't go with you."
Tamaki gasped. "That's right! You missed out on an eventful trip to a tropical paradise, Yuki!"
"This may surprise you, but I do have a life outside this ridiculous club." Her cousin jolted as if struck by an arrow. "Besides, I heard that it was far from a paradise."
Haruhi glanced away tiredly. "Yeah. More like a hassle."
Yukino sighed. "To be honest, part of me thought you all were joking yesterday about coming here..."
~🌹yesterday🌹~
Walking into the clubroom that afternoon, Yukino had plenty of homework in her arms that she planned on getting done. But what she found inside immediately told her that wouldn't be happening.
Everywhere she looked, there were mannequins in swimsuits. One pieces and bikinis, to be specific.
Seeing this, she froze midstep. And then, she deadpanned.
'This place is the absolute worst...'
Across the crowd of mannequins were the twins. They were clicking their tongue in disapproval. "I don't think you get it, Honey-senpai."
Honey, who was holding a mannequin with a blue one-piece, blinked. "Huh?"
They grabbed Haruhi to hold her up under the arms. "Just look; this uniform barely hides the fact that Haruhi's as flat as a cutting board."
