"It's something you've always known;"

Today, the Ouran Host Club had reserved the garden for their Heian Era-themed event. The blue sky, the gentle breeze, and the beautiful flowers were all so tranquil. So peaceful.

Today, Yukino hoped -- no, she prayed -- that she wouldn't have to endure any ridiculousness. In an ideal world, they would get this over with so she could get on home without delay. Everyone (especially Tamaki and the twins) would entertain their customers without bothering her. She would eat some sweets and drink some tea. Then she could go back to the main Suoh Estate, do her homework, eat her dinner, and then occupy her time however she felt like it. Maybe she would do some sketching, maybe she would spend time with her grandmother if the woman was home.

If you can't tell, Yukino's life outside the Host Club isn't particularly exciting. Sometimes she prefers it that way. Other times she wouldn't mind having a little...more going on. But she would never admit that; she would regret it without a doubt.

"Wow~!" Beaming, Momoka and Kimiko crouched alongside Yukino in front of the flowers. "These hydrangeas are so beautiful!"

"I know!" Kimiko sighed. "I could look at them all day!"

Momoka turned. "There's only one sight that catches my eye more..."

Yukino turned to follow her gaze. She found her friend looking at Haruhi, who, not too far away from them, was gazing ahead serenely Or, to put it bluntly, she was zoning out.

"Haruhi looks so peaceful!" Kimiko squealed quietly. "I wonder what he's thinking under the cherry blossoms?"

Glancing away, Yukino smiled dryly. 'No doubt something far less noble than what they're imagining.'

Momoka swooned. "I wish I could become a cherry blossom..."

"Haruhi, duck!"

At Tamaki's sudden shout, Haruhi snapped out of thoughts to spin around. Looking over, they found a ball heading straight for her head and Tamaki sprinting right at her. Before the ball could make contact, Tamaki lunged to grab Haruhi and tackle her out of the way. They both crashed into the flowery bushes with a big cloud of dust.

Yukino twitched. Standing up, Tamaki glared fiercely at the twins. "Hikaru! You came this close to snuffing out the light of Haruhi's life!"

Walking over, Yukino remained mostly unfazed. 'In reality, Haruhi's life was in danger the moment she stepped into the clubroom for the first time.'

The twins shrugged innocently. "Hey, it's your fault for not catching the ball in the first place, Boss."

"Yeah, who knew he'd be so bad at Kemari?" Kaoru piled on. "So much for him being the Genji of Ouran Academy."

Yukino helped Haruhi to her feet. "Oh, I heard that, too. But I'd wager that Tamaki's been the one spreading the rumor himself." She shrugged. "That's why I've been telling people that he still needs training wheels to ride a bike."
