"Keeps getting better and better." I sighed as all hell broke loose.

The noise was deafening, as it seemed like the door had flown off its hinges. The whole place shook as the chaos slowly unfolded. My mind went blank as I stared toward where the door once stood, taking quick and rushed breaths. My body seemed unresponsive as I gazed at the swirling debris that clouded my vision of the intruders.

I spared a glance at the women of the household to see that they weren't doing much better than I was: The older woman seemed to be in shock, her eyes scouring the whole house, almost begging for any place to disappear, anywhere would do from the looks of it. Towards her, her daughter Julia seemed less scared but was still very much terrified. Her skin seemed pale as she took deep breaths to calm herself. They both held hands for reassurance, as they had only eyes for the intruders.

"Greetings, everyone. I apologize for us coming late." A female voice came from the right, to which I spun my head towards the space.

A group of three, it seemed. They each walked in one by one, with a certain arrogance and pride, you could call it. The one that spoke looked to be the leader as she had entered first with arms raised by her side. They were all clad in all-black attire, with black hoods masking their faces in the darkness. "I do; enjoy my evening strolls. It seems I lost track of time." She tells us her voice had a somewhat dark edge, almost like everything I heard felt like it had a hidden meaning. She appeared to be a little bit skinny, as the clothes hugged her skin closely, showing off her shape and curves. Regardless, her aura and vibe that she emitted made me glad I couldn't see her face. They stood a few footsteps before us as the howling winds from the night sky swept around the house.

I took a deep breath as my mind went into panic mode for more than one reason: One of them being three invaders who seemed somewhat intimidating in their outfits, and another was the instant sense of deja-vu I felt when I saw them, that black seemed too familiar.

"That's him, boss, the one from earlier." A male voice from one of the people by her right hand as she stepped forward. He seemed ridiculously tall, with broad shoulders, he stood tall, yet his head bearing down towards me. "Hold on a minute, you are right." Another male voice, once again, was heard from the other woman's side as he stepped into the light. He seemed not as tall as his other companions but still as intimidating. He stood at a height just a few inches taller than me, with a similar physique, to the other male, while his voice came out with more bass than his friend's. I took it all in as my brain hurried to think of a plan.

"So..." I start, taking as much time to run through my words, "To what do I owe the pleasure." My deep voice sounded cracked as I ran my sweaty palms on the sides of my trousers. I was nowhere prepared for this.

"Oh my liege, don't be so nervous. It doesn't suit you." The woman tells me, I could only assume, with a smile underneath her hood. "Excuse me, but why are my mom and I involved in this!" Julia growled at the uninvited guests, her face warped in confusion.

"Oh, you're feisty. I like that." She responds, her voice full of glee as she ruffles her hair. Julia pulled back, her look painted in shock.

"And for your potential safety, you can thank your mother for that." The woman in question had a perplexed expression written. "By the looks of it, I'm guessing you couldn't beat my uncle?" I asked, nodding to the men, "Your old man's got a few tricks. I'll give him that." The shorter one responded, "He got lucky; that's all it took." His companion grunted. I let myself catch my breath. Honestly, there was no possible way they could beat him though it was still good to hear all the same.

"Alright, let's get this over with." She spoke out loud before gesturing her hand towards Julia, "If we're being unpretentious, we came for you." She informed us, her words dripped with venom. "You see, we've got a dream we want to achieve, and we need young minds. I'm honestly in a good mood, thus why I took my time coming here. I mean, come on, I even let you reach your mom safe and sound; you've got to acknowledge that I did try." Julia looked frozen while her mom slowly pulled her into her embrace, shielding her from them. "And for my good will, God has gifted me the prince as an add-on." Her body turns towards me.
