warily, i walked down the stairs. my sister had never texted me so seriously, all we ever were was sarcastic together. every thing i had ever done wrong came piling into my mind, but then i started thinking about the fact her and levi got married just over a month ago. what if they realised they completely hate each other?
were they already planning on a divorce? quickly, i was knocked out of my thoughts, aurora pulling me over to the couch where my mum, dad, and maia were all sat.
"we have a present for you all." aurora spoke up, a grin apparent on her face. "but you need to all open it at the same time."
she handed us each a present, i smiled, reading the label that read 'to our ev, love rory and levi x'. once we'd each had our present handed to us, we all opened them in sync. my jaw dropped and i slapped my hand over my mouth, tears immediately filling my eyes.
in the present was a tiny baby onesie, reading 'est. 2023'.
my mum burst into tears, hugging aurora, maia and my dad joining the hug. i failed to find the words to speak, crying as i held the small onesie in my hands. i hugged levi, him sadly being left out of the hug, aurora pulling us into the shared group hug.
"are you actually pregnant? like, one thousand percent? you're not fucking with us?" i asked, my mum scolding me for my language.
"yes, ev, i'm actually pregnant. six months, we know the gender, and the baby's gonna be here march." she explained, and it all started to feel slightly more real.
"is it a boy or a girl?" maia questioned excitedly, looking at the pair.
"we don't know whether we're gonna tell you or wait until they're here."
"tell us, please." my mum and i pleaded together, maia joining.
"well, maybe if you looked deeper in your presents you'd find out." levi told us, laughing.
i looked deeper into the wrapping paper, finding a slip of blue paper, reading it aloud, "i'm a boy."
the four of us screamed, getting even more excited. we all turned when we heard footsteps. tommy slowly walking down the stairs, rubbing his eyes. "did somebody die?"
"i'm gonna be an auntie tommy!" i exclaimed, running over to the much taller boy, grabbing his hands and jumping.
"wait, what?" he furrowed his eyebrows, looking at levi and his confused face quickly turned into smile. "oh my god, what the hell, i'm so happy for you both."
"there's a thing tho, we aren't telling ANYONE outside of immediate family. tommy, don't tell a single fucking soul." levi threatened, tommy nodding in response.
"i won't, i wont!"
