Jesiana's POV

"Please!" I pleaded starting to cry.

"Jesiana what you mean? I'm not finna
hit you." He said grabbing me pulling me into a hug.

I cried silently into his chest getting his shirt wet.

"What's wrong?" He asked softly against my hair.

I tried to stop crying but then I started breathing hard.

"Calm down Jesiana. " He said rubbing my back.

"You wanna tell me." He whispered rubbing his hands through my curls.

I nodded. "Alright , c'mon." He said grabbing my hand , leading me outside to a table separate from all the other ones.

I say there quietly sniffing , trying no to cry as I gathered up the words.

"It's ok Jesiana you can tell me. I won't tell anyone else I promise." He said grabbing my hand rubbing it with his thumb.

I sniffed again before speaking "So when I was just turning 11.."

{ Flashback }

"Mommy look what I got from aunt Angie!" I said showing her my purse.

"That's cute!" She said smiling.

"Look at you , a big girl now!" She said kissing me all over my face making me laugh.

"Mommy stop!" I giggled.

"Is uncle John coming?" I asked and saw she tucked her lips.

"Yeah you know he wouldn't miss if for the world." She said making me smile.

"Ok bye mom love you!" I said kissing her cheek before running off .

"Hey Kassidy look what-" I started before I was picked up.

"Uncle John!" I yelled hugging him.

"Hey big girl!" He said hugging me.

"I thought you weren't coming." I said giving him another tight hug before he put me down.

"I got a present in your room wanna go get it?" He asked.

"Yea!" I said starting to go to the door .

I rushed up to my room and saw nothing anywhere.

"Where's the present?" I asked looking up at uncle John.

"You gotta find it!" He said.

"Ok!" I said bending down looking under my bed.

"Look!" I said pointing at a box.

"You found it?" uncle Jhom said.

"Yeah!" I said standing up putting the box on my bed.

"Open it." He said.

I opened and saw nothing there making me furrow my eyebrows.

"Where is it?" I asked with my eyebrows still furrowed

"I'll show you." He said before pushing me on the bed.

"What are you doing?" I asked scooting to the headboard.
