It was now lunchtime after Carter grabs his lunch from his locker and begins walking to the rooftop, where he usually eats. After eating his lunch, Carter looks around before taking out his phone, starts playing some music, and starts singing. "Some legends are told are told, Some turn to dust or to gold. But you will remember me! Remember me for centuries! And just one mistake, Is all it will take! We'll go down in history! Remember me for centuries! Hey yeah, oh hey, hey yeah! Remember me for centuries!" He sang. After Carter was done singing, he heard some clapping from behind him. He then turned around to see Seth with a look of amazement, "Dang Carter, I never knew you could sing. That was amazing!" he said. "Oh, uh, really? Thanks." Carter said with a slight blush. "So what brings you up here anyways, Seth?" Carter asked. "Well I was coming up here to eat my lunch." Seth replied. "Okay." Carter commented, "Also, how long have you been there?" he asked. "About halfway through you singing." Seth said. "Alright." Carter said."Hey, do you think you could be able to come with me?" Seth asked. "Uh, sure." Carter asked. Carter said. "Alright, come on!" Seth said as he and Carter left the roof and made their way through the hallway. After a few minutes of walking, the two men stopped at a door that read 'Music Room'. "Um, why are we at the music room?" Carter asked. "Take a look at the sheet next to the door." Seth said as he pointed at a sheet of paper with his thumb. As Carter took a look at the paper, he saw that it was a poster for auditions for the music club. "You want me to audition?" Carter asked as he looked at Seth. "Yeah. I mean, with your voice, I bet you could be able to get in no problem." he said. "I don't know man." Carter said with concern. "Hey come on. Just give it a shot. Besides, you told me how much you love music." Seth said. "Alright, I'll give it a try." Carter said hesitantly. "Atta boy!" Seth said as he patted Carter on the back. As Carter and Seth walked into the room, Carter saw a girl with neon red hair with green eyes wearing a white beanie, a pink shirt with jean shorts and purple shoes, a boy with black hair wearing a silver jacket and black pants, a boy with white hair with blue eyes wearing a lavender flannel shirt over a white shirt with gray pants, a boy with beige hair with black eyes wearing a gray dress shirt over a blue shirt with khaki pants, and the girl he accidentally bumped into, who looked up to see Carter, "Oh, hello Carter." she said as the others looked at him. "Hi, I'm here to try out for the music club." Carter said. "Sweet! About time we had someone try out for the club." the girl with neon red hair said with excitement. "Really? I would have thought that more people try out for the club." Carter said with a surprised look. "Well unfortunately after the seniors graduated we haven't had any more auditions." the boy in lavender said. "Ah, I see." Carter said. "Well before you audition, let me introduce you to the other members of the club." Sicily spoke, "The boy in the lavender shirt is Henry Forester. He's the drummer of the band." she said as she pointed to the boy in lavender. "Pleasure to meet you." Henry said as he and Carter shook hands. "The neon redhead is Maya Calestro, lead guitarist." Sicily said as she pointed the other girl. "Wassup my man." Maya said as she and Carter high five. "The boy in silver Ryan Sirius, secondary guitarist." Sicily said as she pointed to the boy in silver, "Hey there." he said as he and Carter fist bumped. "The one with the gray shirt is Michael Serci, keyboard player." Sicily said as she pointed to the boy with the beige hair, "Hello." he said as he and Carter shook hands. "And, well, you already know me. I'm Sicily Farland, lead female singer." Sicily said as she introduced herself, "Then we have my brother Seth as the manager." she continued as she looked at her brother. "You're the manager for the club?" Carter asked as turned to face Seth, "Sure am." he replied as Carter nodded. "Now there's only one person left but I don't see her." Sicily said as she looked around the room. "Oh, almost forgot. She's in the principal's office talking about performing for the dance. She said she'll be back in a few minutes." Maya said. "Who's she?" Carter asked. "I'm back guys." said a girl with dark brown hair with lilac eyes wearing a teal shirt with jeans and white shoes, "And good news, we got the okay to..."she continued before seeing Carter, "Carter?" she said. "Sara? What are you doing here?" Carter asked after turning around to face the girl. "I'm a part of the music club. Acoustic Guitarist to be precise. What about you?" The girl, now named Sara, said. "He's wanting to audition for the music club." Henry said. "Is that so?" Sara said with a look of intrigue. "Uh, Seth. Can I please have a word with you?" Carter asked as he pulled Seth by his arm and out of the classroom, "What's up?" he asked. "You never told me that my ex-girlfriend was a member of the music club!" Carter said. "Sorry man, I forgot to mention that to you." Seth said with a bead of sweat going down his face. "*sigh* I guess I'll forgive you." Carter said as he exhaled a sigh. He and Seth then went back into the classroom. "So what made you guys think of holding auditions for the club?" Carter asked. "After our lead singer moved away, we've been trying to find more people who would be interested in joining." Henry said. "However no one would be interested in joining the club a month after we held auditions." Michael said with a frown. "Well, I feel honored being the first person to audition in a while." Carter said before asking "So anyways, what do I have to do for the audition?". "Going into the audition not knowing what to do for it, huh? Gotta say that's the first time this ever happened." Ryan said. "Sorry. Guess I didn't read the whole poster." Carter said feeling embarrassed. "Don't be. Since it's the first audition in a while, I can understand why." Sicily said. "Anyways, all you need to do is just sing a song that we have prepared." Sara said. "Okay. Sounds easy enough." Carter said before asking "So what song should I sing?". "Well, uh..." Seth said as he flipped through his phone for a song before stopping, "How about Irresistible by Fallout Boy?" he asked. "Sounds good to me." Carter said as he walked up to a microphone. Carter then took a deep breath before singing "Count me in unannounced, drag my nails on the tile. I just follow your scent. You can't just follow my smile. All of your flaws are aligned with this mood of mine, cutting me to the bone, nothing left to leave behind. You ought to keep me concealed just like I was a weapon. I didn't come for a fight but I will fight till the end
This might be your battle, might not turn out okay. You know you look so Seattle, but you feel so LA. Eh eh eh eh eh. Eh eh eh eh eh. Eh eh eh eh eh. Eh eh eh eh eh. And I love the way you hurt me! It's irresistible, oh oh oh oh oh oh yeah! Oh oh oh oh oh oh yeah! I love the way!
I love the way! I love the way you hurt me baby! I love the way! I love the way! I love the way you hurt me baby!" After he stopped, the music club all applauded. "Man, I never knew you had a killer voice Carter." Ryan said. "Yeah, you were totally gnarly bro." Maya said as she high fived Carter before turning to face Sara, "Can we please keep him?" she asked in a pleading voice. "Well..." Sara said as she looked at the other band members, all giving a nod. "Oh, alright. Welcome to the club, Carter." Sara said with a smile. "Wahoo!" Maya exclaimed as she jumped up and down. "Thank you. I look forward to working together with you guys." Carter said. "Glad to have you on the club, Carter. We have meetings every day during lunch and after school until 4:30 pm." Sicily  said. "I'll be sure to make it." Carter said. "So Sara, what were you going to say before you saw Carter?" Henry asked. "Oh yes. I was going to say that we got the okay to perform at the homecoming dance." Sara said. "Awesome! I totally can't wait to show off Ernesto to the whole school!" Maya said as she took out her guitar and started playing it. "Alright Maya, you might want to tone it down before you and "Ernesto" make us go deaf before the dance." Michael said as he rubbed his ear. "Sorry." Maya said as she put her guitar down. "Um, who's Ernesto? Is he another member of the club?" Carter asked in confusion. "Haha, not really. Ernesto is what Maya calls her guitar after she got it for her birthday from her dad." Sicily said. "I see." Carter said. The bell then rang, signaling the end of lunch. "Man, time flies by fast when you're having fun. See you guys after school." Carter said as he left the club room. "Don't be late!" Sara said.
