What happened? I ask.Nurse Toya ignored my question. 'I will inform Dr Gilbert that you are awake, and he will tell you more information. 'She stands up, rubs my shoulder to reassure me that she will be back, and then leaves the wardroom.
A car crash., and Sofia is dead. This all does not make any sense.
As I wait for Nurse Toya to come back. I decided to put music on through my headphones. I listened to some Kylie Minogue and Miley Cyrus to pass the time. I glance my eyes towards the door, and the door opens. Doctor Gilbert walks in, ''Hello, Misha; how are you feeling?' he asked me.
''All I want to know is why I am in the hospital. and how you think I am feeling?' I spoke.
''Misha, you have been in a car accident, and you are fortunate to be alive right now,'' he says.
''Is this real? The nurse said that my friend died, is that correct?''
'Yes, it is correct, Misha'' he nodded.
'Sofia is dead,'' I say as my voice cracks, and I am about to cry.
'I am very sorry, Misha,'' he says.
Many emotions wanted to burst out of me. But I held it all in. I could not get my words out, but I wanted to cry. Some questions were going through my head that I wanted to ask, but I did not. I am sure they know the answers anyway.
'You had emergency surgery to save your life. Unfortunately, from the waist down, you are paralysed, 'he explains.
'Wait, what?'' I spoke. ''You have lost your ability to walk.'
This is too much information to take in at a time.
'I am paralysed.' I spoke.
He nodded, and he looked concerned. But I did not have the words to explain how I felt. I have been told I had been in a car accident and my friends died, and now I am paralysed. What the... I can't believe what I am hearing. The next minute they will tell me I am brain-damaged.
Later that night, the night staff came to the ward, and a nurse came into the room and spoke to me. ''It's not safe in here for you. '
I did not know who this nurse was, but I trusted her because she looked after me. She looked at me as she told me, 'We are going to transfer you to another ward tomorrow.

Misha: This is where I could tell there was something odd going on Mrs Crawford
Flashback: Henshaw Medical Hospital
I am still in the hospital in the middle of the night.
I get up, so I try to sit myself up and go to the edge of the bed but can't because I realise that I am wired up to a drip. Ah-ha, which was the irritating noise that woke me up. Now, what can I do? I will wait until somebody comes and checks up on me. As I was waiting, I noticed a sign on the wall saying something on it, but I could not work out what it said. What does it say? Suddenly, I hear sirens from outside the building; it must be another emergency ambulance going out or coming in with a patient. However, I glanced out the window and saw the doctors and nurses rushing out of the building to help the paramedics bring somebody in. I looked closely, and I thought I had recognised that person. So, I quickly disconnected myself from the drip I was on, but I could not see the wheelchair. It is pure darkness. I get into the wheelchair and try to get out of the wardroom. However, the wheelchair squeaks with every move I make. I opened the door, and I went through it. The night nurse caught me.
''Misha, where do you think you are going?''
'Sofia, your alive!'' I looked at the nurse.
The nurse gets hold of my wheelchair, pushes me down the corridor, and laughs at me. 'Where are we going?' The nurse exhales another laugh and says, 'Do you remember yesterday when I said you were going to another ward?'
I shook my head.
'You don't remember because you got brain damage'' The nurse says, wheeling me to the lift. I do not remember where we were going.
Misha: The nurse looked like Sofia.
Detective Fiona Crawford: That must have been your imagination, Misha.
Misha: It was not my imagination, but okay.
Flashback: Henshaw Medical Hospital
When we arrived at the second floor of the psychiatric ward, I was thinking, why am I on this floor? 'Excuse me, where are you going?' this voice said.
The nurse takes me to the reception desk on the ward. There was a woman in her forties, and she had glasses on, looking at the computer. 'Sorry, Jane Hopper, I am just taking the patient to the new ward she is going to.' The nurse said. The woman behind the desk asked the nurse to sign me in and show her ID proof.
''Can I have your ID, please?'' Jane asks the nurse and me.
As the nurse was showing her ID and signing a document. There was something wrong because why had she got to sign? That is what confused me. Earlier that morning, she said she was taking me to a ward that would keep me safe, and I wished I had said no because I was nauseous and in pain.
''Thank you, the ward is on the left.' The woman takes the document and smiles at the nurse.
'What about me? Do I have to sign?' I asked. The document falls out of her hands and goes on the floor. ''What is that for?' I say as the woman picks it up. I found it hard to focus. The writing was blurry. All I could see was the hospital's logo, an infinity sign with a snake going through it.
'I can take that off you, Jane, do not worry the nurse smiled.
Misha: I will tell you, Fiona Crawford, that nurse's ID and that document were fake.
Detective Fiona Crawford: How are you going to prove it?
Flashback: Henshaw Medical Hospital
The nurse pushed me into the wardroom; I turned my head to face her and realised it was whom I thought. ''What the... Sofia McKeegan 'I start. Who is Sofia McKeegan? Sofia McKeegan is the girl who was my best friend but turned everyone against me.
'Shut up, stop talking ', Sofia says, shutting the door behind her.
'HELP!' I yelled.
'What did I tell you?' Sofia became angry at me. 'I am not Sofia; it's your head,' she locked the door behind me.
'I have not lost my mind. I know it is you, Sofia,' I say to Sofia.
'You are meant to have a brain injury.'' She exhales loudly.
''You always get away with everything,'' I say.
