An hour had passed and the house was still silent as when we arrived. I assumed Mom and Howard weren't coming back tonight and for that I was grateful. He laid beside me on the couch, his eyes were still closed. I replayed everything that happened in my mind. His arms around me, his body between my legs, his lips upon my neck. The first boy I had ever been with just happens to not be a boy at all but something far greater.

As inexperienced as I was it didn't seem that way, I allowed him to take the lead but I quickly caught up. I thought about this moment multiple times before, before I knew everything about the hounds and the higher ground. When I was as normal as normal can be. If someone told me this is how it would go down, I wouldn't believe them in the slightest. But my heart was more fond now, it grew an extra string and it was attached to Austin's. I could tell he'd felt the same. As silly as it sounds but he's easy to read now I watch his eyes.

"Don't get any ideas," He said suddenly with his eyes still closed.

"Huh?"

"It's not my most liked feature, I'll admit."

"I think it's cute. Now that I fully understand."

He sighed. His phone began to buzz on the floor, come to think of it I had no idea where mine was. He leaned over picking it up to examine the messages. There was about twenty, each of them from Marina and two calls from another number I didn't recognize.

"Damn, it's Hawk again...they need me." He said disappointed.

"If only the world would stop moving so this could last a little longer" I said softly

He leaned forward slowly getting to his feet, he stood over me shirtless and in his boxer shorts

He leaned forward slowly getting to his feet, he stood over me shirtless and in his boxer shorts. I smiled slightly admiring the view once again. "Hm, if only." He said before pulling his pants up and buckling them. He paused and placed his phone in his back pocket. He reached over gripping me by the chin placing his lips onto mine again. The tingling sensation was back briefly.

"I'll come back if I can. Will you be alright alone? I..don't really like leaving you." He said

"I'm not a piece of glass, Austin. I won't break simply because I'm alone with my thoughts."

He smiled, "Now, that I can get a grasp on a few of those thoughts, it makes me worry even more."

I kissed him again. Longer this time, trying to remember the last hour all in one gesture. Twice for him and once for me. It was enough, with more time I was sure the numbers could raise.

"Could they?" He smirked

"Okay, new rule. Stay out of my head. Just because you can doesn't mean you can."

"Don't worry, it's not like a constant thing. I can't monitor everything, only a few. And only when I want."

I sighed. "Be careful, please."
