Neteyam's POV

The moonbeams coming through the door of the kelku lit up my face causing me to wake up. Azura was still asleep, I could feel her calm breathing as her head rose intermittently on my chest. Our hands were still intertwined, I wish we could stay like this all day, but there were other priorities that required our attention. We had to meet with the committee and prepare to go to the human base before the sun rose.

Raising my head slightly, I looked at the face of the attractive female who slept peacefully on my chest. Her face was relaxed while her lips were slightly open. Moving closer to her face, I left a kiss on her forehead and whispered her name in her ear to wake her up. However, she didn't even move, "Azura, it's time to wake up" I insisted fondly caressing her face.

She grunted and curled her face into the crook of my neck, "Just five more minutes please". I rolled my eyes while laughing, "Come on, we have important things to do". Azura opened her eyes, a big smile appeared on her face. "Good morning first of all", "Good morning lor syulang, let's get cleaned up". She acted as if she was thinking about it, "Azura" I complained playfully. "Fine", she released my hand and allowed me to get out of bed.

Once we were clean, we headed to one of the highest branches of the Kelutral, where most of the committee members were waiting for us. "Good morning everyone and thank you for coming," Azura said. "It's a pleasure to be able to help," Tonowari answered as he showed his respects to the leader. "Then without further delay, let's hop on our Ikrans and head to our destination. Remember that we will only observe their behaviour, we will not attack unless it's absolutely necessary", "Yes, Olo'eykte"

As we flew over the base, we were able to visualise its structure. It was large, although there were some areas that were not finished building. The lands were quiet, there were only a few soldiers doing night watch. After a generalised visualisation, we managed to spot a group of humans unloading a truck full of weapons. "Let's get down and hide in the woods to observe them up close" Mat'kun proposed.

We split up in pairs to watch the movements of the sky people from different perspectives. I brought my Ikran closer to Azura's so we could find a place to hide together. Leaving them on a tree nearby, we hid behind some bushes as we observe their movements. The truck had a lot more weaponry than I had expected, there were weapons I had never seen before.

"They are preparing for a big blow" Azura whispered, "I don't understand, they have more weapons than soldiers". Pressing the button on my necklace I communicated with my father, "Are you seeing this? Why do they want so many weapons?" "I don't know but surely for no good. Quaritch must have asked for more weapons, this means they are starting to prepare. We still have time but we need to discover what this new toys can do"

All of a sudden a small body fell from the branch of a tree, "Anek!" I heard a voice similar to my sister's scream. "Anek?" concerned Azura looked forward, all the humans turned at the noise and quickly headed towards the helpless child who lay on the ground trembling with fear. I looked up and saw my sister hanging from one of the branches of the tree, what were they doing here?

One of the soldiers grabbed Anek by the arm but before he could take him away an arrow pierced his arm. Azura came out of our hiding spot and started shooting arrows in order to protect her brother from the sky people. "Tuk go to Mom and Dad and tell them to get out of here" I shouted as I prepared myself to help Azura, "But Neteyam..." "No buts. Go! Now!"

I ran after Azura who was fighting against the humans to get to her brother, one of them tried to shoot her while she was distracted but I jumped on his back to avoid it. The man crouched down throwing me to the ground, "Do you want to play brat?" he laughed mockingly, and I hissed in response.
