Azura's POV

Pulling the string curtain to the side, I welcomed both families inside the meeting kelku where Mat'kun and Eloide awaited. Everyone started sitting around the big wooden table as I headed towards the middle so I could see each of them. Once I was in my place, Zygmunt quickly made his way to my side to take the chair next to mine while Eloide took the one on my other side.

"Let's begin with the meeting" I announced. "Tell us what you saw in detail Azura" Neytiri was the first to speak, on each of her sides sat her mate and her son. "I decided to do a morning vigilance of the lands when suddenly the humans arrived and without apparent reason, they began to burn the place down. I think they probably did it to warn us about their closeness" I omitted my night with Neteyam in order to protect him from Zygmunt. At the end of the day, Zygmunt was my future mate and if he found out I had spent the night before with Neteyam it would only bring more trouble to both of us.

"I hope that with your experience confronting the sky people, you would be useful to plan an attack against them. Especially you, Toruk Makto, you used to be one of them. You better than anyone else know how they think and their war tactics" I explained. Toruk Makto nodded at my words, "If they haven't come here it means that they don't know where we are exactly, they must have approximate coordinates. However, we don't have much time before they find out"

"Then what should we do?" Eloide intervened in the conversation, "We must act fast. The best thing we can do right now is go and inspect their base. From there we can see how prepared they are to attack and use it against them". "Is better if it's just us going, that way they are less likely to find out we are there" Mat'kun, one of the main warriors of my clan spoke. "It'll be more secure. Tomorrow we will go before the sun rises and we'll leave before it's fully out".

Everyone nodded in agreement, except for Ronal who tightened her jaw with her eyes fixed on both males. "That's your plan? You want to go the demon's den knowing they want to see all of us dead" she scoffed, "I won't put my life in danger for a clan who hasn't treated me like the Tsahìk I am". "We took you in Ronal" Zygmunt was the one who replied, "And? I don't owe you anything".

I began to lose my cool, how dare she treat us this way after all we have done for her and her family. "Ronal" I called her in a demanding tone so she would stare directly in my direction, "We are talking about my clan, a clan that has offered you hawnu when nobody else did. If you don't help us my people could die, we are talking about innocent lives. Children, elder, every one of them".

Suddenly Neteyam intervened in the conversation, "What does it cost you to help them? They gave us a place to sleep, food and clothes. Before this clan took us in we had spent weeks looking for a place to stay and when we finally find one that accepts us you refuse to help them. Is this how you show gratitude?". Ronal looked at him disgusted, but quickly turned her head to stare at me again.

Our words didn't seem to make her change her mind, "Nobody helped me when my people were being attacked. I had to leave my clan behind as it fell apart, I abandoned my people when they needed me the most. And you think I'll go through the same for a clan who doesn't want us here?" she laughed ironically. "I'm not asking you to look after my people, I just want you to help me to ensure their safety" "I don't care about your people Olo'eykte"

Staring at her I felt outraged, why was she acting this way? "Ronal" Tonowari tried to reason with his mate, but it was too late her words had already angered me. "You are a coward Ronal" I began to say making everyone tense up. "As the Tsahìk of your clan, you know better than anyone how it hurts to see your people suffering while you can't do anything to stop it. This time you have the chance to prevent it before they destroy another clan as they did with yours. And you are backing down?"
