Crashing continued when Dean was breaking the wall with the pedestal while Karina stood behind, knowing it was impossible. The moment Dean returned crashing through the wall, it repaired itself. He threw the pedestal to the floor then he looked up. "Son of a bitch."
"Quit hurling feces like a howler monkey, would you?" Zachariah appeared behind them as they marched up to him furiously. "It's unbecoming."
Karina commanded, "Get us out of here."
"Like I told you-- too dangerous out there. Demons on the prowl."
"Cut the crap-- we had been ass kicked all year. Now you're concerned for our safety? You're lying, I can see it. We want to see Sam."
"That's... ill-advised."
Dean snapped back, "You know, I am so sick of your crap riddles and your smug, fat face. What the hell is going on, huh? Why can't we see Sam? And how are we gonna ice Lilith?"
He sighed deeply, "You're not..." Dean and Karina raised their eyebrows at him then he finished it off. "... going to ice Lilith."
"What?"
"Lilith's going to break the final seal. Fait accompli at this point." He walked off and he sat in the cushioned chair by the mirror, "Train left the station."
Karina had her eyes closed to tears as she realized. Everything was a lie... she trusted the Angels too much for it. "But us and Sam, we can stop..." Dean looked at Zachariah's grin then he realized the horror of the truth. "You don't want to stop it, do you?"
"Nope. Never did. The end is nigh. The Apocalypse is coming, kiddos, to a theater near you."
"What was all that crap about saving seals?"
"Our grunts on the ground-- we couldn't just tell them the whole truth. We'd have a full-scale rebellion on our hands. I mean, think about it-- would we really let 65 seals unless senior wanted it that way?"
Karina dried her tear as she looked away from him, "Why?"
"Why not? The Apocalypse. Poor name, bad marketing-- puts people off. When all it is Ali/Foreman-- on a... slightly larger scale." Dean and Karina looked at the pictures that turned into Apocalypse, all the gory details, wars, and every single thing in Revelations. "And we like our chances when our side wins-- and we will-- it's paradise on Earth. Now, what's not to like about that?"
She looked at him with an intense glare, "What about the innocents during your deal?"
"Well..." He stood up as he buttoned his blazer, "... you can't make an omelet without cracking a few eggs. In this case... truckloads of eggs, but you get the picture."
"You're the vilest being I've ever met... Have faith, you said. Faith, my ass."
Zachariah looked deeply at Dean and Karina after the comment, "Look... it happens. This isn't the first planetary enema we've delivered." Dean eyed the statue on the table, then Zachariah read his mind. "Uh, no, Dean. Probably shouldn't try to bash my skull in with that thing. Wouldn't end up too pleasant for you both."
Dean asked, "What about Sam? He won't go quietly. He'll stop Lilith."
He inhaled deeply with an exciting grin, "Sam... has a part to play. A very important part. He may need a little nudging in the right direction, but I'll make sure he plays it."
Their eyes filled with terror and worry as they both walked up to him, "What does that mean? What are you gonna do to him?"
"Sam, Sam, Sam. Marcia, Marcia, Marcia. Forget about him, would you?" Zachariah grabbed both of their shoulders as he pulled them to another side of the room, "You have larger concerns. Why do you think I'm confiding in you? You're still vital, guys. We weren't lying about your destiny. Just... omitted a few pertinent details. But nothing's changed. You are chosen. You will stop it. Just... not Lilith or the Apocalypse. That's all."
