Dean Winchester was in lockdown, and he was pissed. He was pissed at Karina for sharing the information to let Sam and Castiel find him. He was pissed at Castiel for transporting him to Bobby's. He pissed at Bobby for being on the same page with the group. Mostly, he was pissed that tonight will happen between him and Micheal since he was a Servant of Heaven.
He was pacing back and forth in the living room while Castiel was staring at him, angrily. Sam, Karina, and Bobby were seated together at his desk, trying to find the solution to get the Devil and Michael away from Dean.
"Yeah, no, this is good, really. Eight months of turned pages and screwed pooches, but tonight-- tonight's when the magic happens."
"You ain't helping," said Bobby when he was reading a paper.
"Yeah, well, why don't you let me get out of your hair, then?"
Bobby faced Dean as he was leaning against the wall with his arms crossed. "What the hell happened to you?"
"Reality happened. Nuclear's the only option we have left. Michael can ice the Devil, save a boatload of people."
"But not all of them, just you know, so Ariel had to choose his side in order to do so. We gotta think of something else."
"Yeah, well, that's easy for you to say. But if Lucifer burns this mother down, and I could've done something about it, guess what--that's on me."
"You can't give up, son."
He scoffed as he looked down on the floor, then he looked at Bobby. "You're not my father... and you ain't in my shoes." He looked down at a desk, taking all in.
Sam and Karina lifted their heads to look at Dean. They both tilted their heads and stared at him with disappointed eyes. They shook their heads, then Bobby pulled a gun from a dresser next to him. He set it down on the piles of books and papers, then he pulled a bullet from his pocket.
He looked at it while Dean questioned, "What is that?"
"That's the round that I mean to put through my skull." He set it down as he stared at it, "Every morning, I look at it. I think, "Maybe today's the day I flip the lights out.'" He looked at Dean, "But I don't do it. I never do it. You know why? BECAUSE I PROMISED YOU THAT I WOULDN'T GIVE UP!!"
There was silent tension in the room until Castiel groaned. He grasped his head, and all eyes turned on him. Sam asked, "Cas, you okay?"
"No."
He looked in the distance as he heard the Angels. Karina asked, "What's wrong?"
"Something's happening?"
"Where?" He didn't answer Dean's question as he flew away, the papers were blown around the room. For a while, there was no sign of the Angel anywhere.
Sam Winchester and Karina Leone were alone in the kitchen. He was reading a book in his hands as he searched for a new plan against the refrigerator while she was washing the dishes in the sink. They hadn't spoken to each other ever since they both had a "moment", and she hasn't replied to his question. He didn't know that she went to Ohio to proclaim with Alex. He assumed that she needed space to breathe while riding with Dean.
Every page he turned as he read, his eyes shifted to her. They were longing on her body and soul, up and down. Washing each dirty dish in the sink with her hair flowing on her shoulders. He wanted to know the answer to his question, he desperately did. He wanted to know all the answers from her. His eyes returned to the page he was reading to avoid staring at her for a long time.
Her eyes shifted on him, feeling his presence from afar. She wanted to shout the familiar words right there and then. It'll all become too real. You can't, Karina-- it'll make it worse. She swallowed her throat then she heard the footsteps behind her. She looked down, not letting the person witness her staring at him for a long time.
