"Castiel, come back. Heal Jo, please. Answer my prayers. Castiel."
Karina was muttering as she lay against the counter. Her hands were shaking as the pain was rushing through her whole body. Sam walked over, seeing her head was full of sweat. She was laying her head down and the rest of her body against the corner. Sam lowered himself down, hearing Karina whispers to Castiel. "Hey."
She turned to Sam her eyes were full of tears. "Why don't you let me help you?"
She rapidly shook her head, "Jo is worse than me. Look after her, please. I'm ok."
She smiled in pain as her tears were starting to shed. Sam looked down then he stood up. He stared at her for a while before turning around. Sam handed a bowl of water to Ellen while she was covering up her wound on Jo. Ellen sent her gratitude to Sam before he walked over to Dean.
Dean was on the other side of the aisle, fixing up a radio to contact Bobby. Sam stood in front of Dean while he asked him, "How's she holding up?" He was asking for Jo.
Dean looked at Sam who gave a hesitant pause, then he looked down at the radio. Sam tried to brighten the mood, "Salt lines are holding up."
"Safe for now."
"Safe or trapped like rats."
Dean faced Sam, "Hey, you heard Meg. Her father's here. This is our shot, Sammy. We gotta take it, no matter what." Sam considered more as he eyed Karina who was shuddering in the corner. Dean followed his gaze as he sighed heavily, "She doesn't look good."
"Yeah, she keeps wanting me to fix Jo up though."
Dean chuckled slightly in amazement, "Yeah, that's Kay. Putting others before herself."
Sam faced him, "We can't lose her."
"Trust me, we won't..." Dean looked Sam in the eyes, "She's part of the plan, remember? For centuries, they had been searching for the right Lioness to stand between Lucifer and Michael. It's her. They won't let her die. They need her as much as we do."
The radio began to static as Dean sighed in relief. He went to the other side of the room, contacting Bobby. Sam was summoned by Ellen to need more help, but Jo stopped her. She wanted to let him take care of Karina. Considering she was important to her.
Sam smiled at Jo before grabbing the bandages, hydrogen peroxide, antibiotics, and water. He headed straight to Karina, then he lowered himself down. Karina looked at him, seeing that his hands were full. Sam looked at her, she knew that he wouldn't give up. Not for her. Karina gently nodded before Sam helped her up to stand.
They both walked into the men's room. Sam turned on the lights, seeing the scenery was toilet paper, stains, graffiti, and condom wrappings everywhere. Karina commented as she faced him, "Well, now I know what you men do for privacy."
Sam softly laughed, then Karina turned her back in front of Sam. He helped her, slowly taking off her jacket. Revealing a black long-sleeve top with teared up. He exhaled sharply before grabbing a scissor. He cut the back of the top, then he moved the shirt away to reveal the wound.
"Well? How does it look?"
"It's-" Her revealing back was a mess. There were bruises that were purple surrounding the blood markings. There wasn't one claw, there were more. The lines from the nails were all over the back. He counted eight. Claws went deeper into her back. If Sam and Jo didn't come any sooner, she would've died. Sam couldn't help but tell the truth, "They look horrible."
Karina sadly chuckled, "Appreciate your honesty, Sam. Shall we?" Sam nodded quickly.
Everything between them was silent. He prepared to clean the blood off around the wounds like Karina taught him. He put the blood-merge rags in the sink. Karina saw how many rags were in the sink. She looked in the distance, containing herself for what was coming next.
