As my legs started to adjust to the hurried rhythm I saw her familiar snow locks waving in the rush of air.
Soon curse words and struggling were registered by my ears helping the blurred picture in my mind to become clear.

After I had threatened Akane, Mint had finally appeared together with Nene and Kou. Kou flung himself at Teru while Yashiro grabbed my arm to drag me away. Mint was sitting on her shoulder a serious expression resting on its face.

"Sorry, it took me a bit."
Mint apologized as I was trying to find the right words

"That was way too close- You guys are my saviours!"

We continued to run for a while till we arrived at the library, collapsing on the floor as we tried to catch our breath.

Soon we sat up an uncomfortable silence surrounded us as Nene stared at me, it was apparent that she wanted an explanation.

"Am I really that untrustworthy? You know, when you are that scared of telling me what you are trying to achieve, it worries me because that would mean you are doing something bad

"Am I really that untrustworthy? You know, when you are that scared of telling me what you are trying to achieve, it worries me because that would mean you are doing something bad."
She spoke up

"It's not that. It's just that if you knew- someone could make you talk..."
I start and Mint cuts in

"Also, can we actually trust you?"

"Well I think that's not the problem, if she decides to betray us we can easily ruin her life. I am not that trusting but you can't do anything either way."

My eyes travel from Nene's face to cold eyes that killed with their looks. Mint wasn't agreeing with me but how could it not? Never before did I see someone with such a kind tone, compassionate personality and such utterly naive eyes. If this was an act to fool me, she could fool me any day.

"You are the boss. It might be easier for later missions if she knows."
Mint grumbled probably only agreeing because he didn't want an argument with me or perhaps he also saw her flushed cheeks.

My lips parted as I couldn't help but let her know, she felt safe, safer than I ever felt in the last years. If she were to betray my tiny trust I would surely crumble apart.

Trying to keep my voice from breaking or tears flowing I explained how we want to make changes for the better and how Mokke usually are treated. Carefully hiding any details of my past, no matter how much I longed to be comforted by her. Because business must never become personal, a rule I already had broken.

"Wh-hy didn't you just say that from the start? I would have talked to Hanako."
She says in between sniffles sympathy oozing from every tear that rolled down her cheek.

"That's the thing Hanako just won't listen to what we have to say. It won't change anything if you say it either. The only way to do this is to go and show that we are strong!"
I preach proudly while in the back of my mind, I lied. My real motivation wasn't as noble as making a change but it worked well to convince the crowds.
