Together with the Exorcist I left the Candy-Bar, determined to find Mint. As we wandered through boundaries, carefully tracing the few clues we had, we asked and asked supernaturals if they had seen him.

Occasionally they pointed us in directions which brought us here, a marketplace for spirits. It was way past 12 in the night and yet it looked busier than ever as lanterns and lamps illuminated the stalls, shops, cluttered ads and posters

With a cocky grin, I waltzed through the busy street, enjoying how the supernaturals in front of me split to each side to make way.

I chuckled giving random ghosts a look just to see how they shrunk under my gaze.

I couldn't blame them either; we both had our reputations and the fact that we were walking around with a wanted poster in hand, that we had ripped off a wall, just painted the picture clearer.

I tried to ignore the judging side eye Teru gave me at my behaviour as we approached a random stall selling mochi.

The Mokke working there nervously looked at us, and then lowered its head while rubbing its paws together as if it was praying for us to choose the stall beside it.

"Stay right there."
Teru commanded harshly as he took note of it backing off as it realized we, indeed, were going for its stall.

"Ehp-"
It yelped when the exorcist placed a hand on the counter, leaning forward on it.

"I have a few questions for you,"
He started with a closed-eyed smile that sent a chill down my spine as well as the poor Mokkes.

"HEY! Don't scare it like that."
I interwine pushing him aside and taking his place at the stall. He had already scared off most of the supernaturals like this before, decreasing our chance of gaining valuable information.

"I didn't-"
He grumbles smoothing the crinkles on his sleeve that I caused by shoving him.

"Lil fella-"
I start turning my attention back to the Mokke, only to find an empty spot; it had a long runoff.
"Dammit..."
I look dumbfounded at the now empty stall. Embarrassed, I rub the back of my head as Teru lets out a slow, taunting chuckle.

"It's your fault alright! I'll talk to the next one."
I explain feeling the warmth on my cheeks grow.

"Less work for me."
He shrugs as I dash over to the next stall that hadn't closed down upon seeing us.

"How may I help you?"
The worker asks looking up at me bravely. My eyes widened, I recognized him. His dear horns, black hair and golden eyes. How I resented them! They still showed up in my nightmares, glowing as he looked down on me and squished my frail body under the sole of his shoe.

My blood boiled, eVeN NoW, HE DARED TO LOOK AT ME AS IF I WAS STILL UNDER HIM!

"By keeping your eyes down, why don't you show me some respect?"
I order aggressively and he retorts
"Why sh-"
He was cut off by my foot ramming into the stall.
"On your fucking knees!"
I order in a dark tone my foot ramming into the stall again. This time breaking the wood with a loud cracking noise.

His eyes slowly travelled to the hole in his set-up as I pulled out my leg. His jaw clenched as he reluctantly kneeled before I made sure he looked just like his stall.

"And you said I was being too intimidating?"
The blondie beside me scoffed.

"Stay out of this."
I grumble and he smirks, the blue in his eyes ever so dark.
"Did I say stop?"

"He deserves this."
I reply cold-heartedly.

I averted my eyes as a strange mixture of disgust bubbled in me at the thought that Teru approved of this. Then a thought flickered like a small candlelight, he too thought just like me.
