Christmas

The alegbros huddle around the christmas tree, the colourful lights illuminating the room. Christmas music fills their ears, the jingle of bells and bells of the sleighs in their ears as well. A soft mist drifts through the windows, and it's beautiful. But that isn't why they are gathered.
This is the only thing that really matters to them at this moment – their friends gathered in the house, the warmth of their family surrounding them. It's not what they were expecting or hoping for – not like the other times when they had celebrated holidays together – but it's everything they could have ever asked for.

"Happy New Year!" Bartosz announced as the clock struck midnight. Everyone in the room cheered.
They had all had quite a bit to drink (fruit punch), but everyone was still grinning and cheerful – even though they'd been drinking all night. It wasn't a big party, just a small group of close friends from across the city having fun with each other and celebrating their lives. "I can't believe we're older now," he continued. "

Mikey's Birthday

It was a regular January day, at least to everyone else. But not to the alegbros. You see, today was Mikey's birthday.
They had gone bowling to celebrate and Julian and Mikey were getting the highest scores. Bartosz just sat back and ate some cake. Just then, the dreaded girl walked past them. Kassy.
"Hey losers! I hope you're enjoying your stupid party!" She called out to them. But once she had walked away the alegbros laughed. After the atticco incident, they knew how horrible the homophobic girl could be.
