Chapter 5 • New guy!

Sonic started to walk in washing down all his nervousness in one gulp- or at least attempting to. he saw everyone stop what they were doing and look at him, Sonic just walked toward the teacher who turned around and smiled. "You must be the new student, Sonic right?" Sonic nodded "Yes ma'am".

<I would describe her but I have no ideas so 😭 live with it>

"Well welcome, my name is Ms. kat and since your new here I'll let you catch up and see if you understand any of the work we're doing" Sonic just nodded while looking up at the board and seeing all the math equations and problems on it. Ms. kat pointed to an empty desk next to a black and red striped hedgehog who had rings on his arms and legs with a frown on his face- like always. "How about you sit next to Shadow"  Sonic could tell that shadow was probably one of the bad kids in the ''dark group''. "Okay" Sonic made his way toward the desk with everyone whispering to their friends about something, which probably included him and shadow since he is sitting to one of the bad kids. Sonic looked over at Shadow once before remaining eye contact back on the board before dozing off, He had already learned this stuff from last year because his teacher was the type to "prepare" for the next year so Sonic just sighed while spacing back into reality again. The teacher handed him a test and he didn't quite understand it but he did not want to ask Shadow for help so he just sucked it up.

I'm a new student right? so this shouldn't count as my grade

Sonic thought as he wrote down the "answers" to the test and got up and handed it back to the teacher, he noticed he was the first one done but he didn't really care since he can't do anything about it now anyways.

The bell rung and everyone started shoving stuff into their bookbags while Sonic did the same and grabbed his backpack and putting on his back when he felt a tap on his shoulder and turned around to see Shaodw, it felt like his heart dropped at that exact moment but he just had to brace himself. "Yes?" Sonic asked not trying to sound nervous "What's your name?" Shadow asked while smirking and leaning towards the hedgehog which made him blush a little and spit out his name "S-Sonic" Shadow only chuckled "Well, if you ever wanna be friends then," Shadow grabbed a piece of paper and pen and wrote something down on it and handed it to Sonic who grabbed it and opened it reading it and realizing that it's his number. "Be feel to ask, cya later cutie" Shadow winked and walked away. 

Sonic couldn't believe what he just saw before his eyes. He didn't know if he should trust Shadow though, from the things Tails had said he was probably going to play him- and Sonic was not ready for another heartbreak. He stuffed the paper in his pocket and walked out quickly trying to find his friends.
