Chapter 7 • A note..?

Sonic was back in school when it was time to go to his next class and he realized he forgot something at his locker so he told his friends (Knuckles, Tails, and Amy) goodbye and then quickly ran to it. Once he was there he swung open the door getting his books when a piece of paper fell out and landed on his backpack.

Huh, weird, I don't remember leaving a note here

Sonic thought as he picked it up and stuffed it in the backpack not having time to read it and sped off to his class where he met Shadow. Their eyes met and Sonic looked away quickly not wanting to get caught staring at him and just walked toward his seat while laying his head on the desk almost falling asleep. Sonic was up all night helping his mom make Cupcakes and a Cake for her job since one of her friends that worked at the same job as her got promoted on her birthday, he didn't want his mom doing it alone so he asked if it could help, it took a while because they kept missing and getting the ingredients wrong but they soon managed to make it and they called it a night and headed to bed at 2:32 am which gave Sonic barely any time to sleep but he used the time the best he could.

Sonic was about to fall asleep when the bell rang, today was a half day so that was a huge relief to Sonic. He ran out as fast as he could wanting to get home and also not wanting to deal with Shadow's mess. Once he was out he took his car keys out and unlocked his car door and hopped inside setting his backpack on the passenger side and turning his key to start the engine. He was about to drive off when he heard a knock on the window and to his shock it was Shadow.

"Hey, shadow.." Sonic said nervously after he rolled the window down "Hey Sonic, just wanted to ask if your free tomorrow, maybe we could go hangout somewhere after school- or during school if you wanna" Shadow smirked while looking towards the nervous azure hedgehog who just nodded responding "sure! just not during school hours" Sonic gave one of his biggest smiles which caused Shadow to blush madly but he took a deep breath in and out and soon the blush went away. "Alright then, cya blue" shadow smirked while walking away leaving a dazed and blushing Sonic.

After listening to some music to pass the time, Sonic finally arrived home. He drove the car into the garage and parked it getting out and grabbing his backpack while closing the doors and locking the car. He walked up to the door and opened it since he's usually home around this time and yelled out " MOM IM HOME ". A purple hedgehog with a small crown and light green eyes in a white dress came running down the stairs hugging Sonic tight. " I missed you Sonic! " his mom spoke while sonic just nervously hugged back "Me too, how's work?" his mom let go and grabbed her phone that showed some of the videos of their celebrations while at work.

After another while, Sonic was finally able to get up to his room and he fell right on the bed groaning. Looking at his backpack remembering that there was a note he sat up and opened that pouch and grab the piece of paper and he unfolded it waiting to read it. Once it was unfolded he started to read.

Shocked, Sonic grabbed the paper looking at it again before sighing and placing it on his desk. He didn't know what shadow meant by "because I've been also wanting to know how you felt", does that mean that he liked Sonic back? there's no way that he was gay. Sonic just took his shoes off while getting up to take a shower, he was going to ask his friends for help on what to do but that's not really necessary and he needs to learn how to do this stuff by himself.

Does he actually...? Sonic thought while closing and locking the bathroom door and setting his clothes down. There's only one way to find out....and that's waiting- ugh I hate waiting! Sonic thought while turning the shower water on to hot and beginning to shower.
