Aurora lays in the backseat of her dad's BMW. He drives slowly. Turning too quickly or getting into a car accident would just make matters worse.

Lucca reaches into the back to hold his sister's hand.

She smiles and holds his hand tightly. She's glad he's here. She would definitely rather have August, because August is Aurora's true best friend, but Lucca is really sweet. He tries his best.

When they arrive at the hospital, Harrison picks Aurora up out of the backseat. He carries her through the parking lot and into the hospital.

"My daughter, she's hurt, she needs help."

Aurora is brought to a hospital room. The trauma specialist uses surgical scissors to cut open her dress.

"This dress is beautiful. I'm sorry to ruin it like this." the doctor says.

It's clear she's trying to make Aurora a little more comfortable, but it's not working. Aurora is in a lot of pain and Dr. Springwell's jokes are not making it any better. Even if the jokes were funny, Aurora is in way too much pain to laugh.

Lucca and Harrison wait outside the room. Aurora is nearly completely naked, so they thought it would be best to stay outside.

"How did the injury happen, Aurora?"

Aurora can't speak. The pain is too severe.

"Give her 100 mg of morphine." Dr. Springwell tells the nurse. "Hopefully this will help with the pain, okay?"

After about 20 minutes, Aurora feels like she can breathe again.

"A week or two ago, my mother smashed a vase across my stomach. Tonight, a guy I know kicked me in the stomach."

"Okay. Yes, I see some really small pieces of glass in your cut, here."

"Yeah, my friend tried to patch me up as well as possible, but it didn't really work."

"I see that. What about the gash on your forehead? That looks partially healed."

"My friends and I were out on a boat and hit a sandbar. One of my friends flew off the front of the boat and his beer bottle hit me in the head." Aurora explains.

"Wow, you've been through a lot this summer, huh?"

"Yeah."

"Okay, I'm gonna take out the last few pieces of glass from your stomach, then I'm gonna stitch you up and you'll be free to go home. Sound good?"

"Sure."

Just after Dr. Springwell finished the last few stitches, she went to talk to Harrison and prescribe medication for Aurora.

Aurora places a blanket over herself and shuts her eyes. She almost falls asleep before the door opens again.

"Princess," JJ's voice echoes.

Aurora opens her eyes and smiles at JJ. He holds a t-shirt and jean shorts in his hand.

"What're you doing here?" Aurora asks.

"John B fell off the hawks nest." JJ answers.

"Holy shit. Is he okay?"

"Yeah. Miraculously, his only injury is a hairline fractured wrist."

"No killin' a pogue, huh?" Aurora laughs.

"Long live the pogues." JJ agrees. "How are you?" He asks as he sits on the hospital bed.
