John B dropped Aurora off at home. She wanted to be alone, and although John B didn't trust her to be by herself, he knew that her family would be home.
Aurora felt so safe coming home for only a short time. Once Jane was out of the picture, Aurora thought that everything would go back to normal. This, of course, was before she put the pieces together about Harrison.
Harrison paces back and forth in the kitchen, while Lucca and August watch Dance Moms.
"Why are y'all always watching something on Hulu, God damn." Aurora laughs. She tries to act like everything is normal. After the reminder of what happened in May, she doesn't want Lucca to worry about her. Aurora sits in between her siblings.
"These drama shows are so good." Lucca says.
"What's up with Dad?" Aurora whispers.
"Something about Ward Cameron." August whispers back. "He was just here and they were arguing about something."
Aurora clenches her jaw and nods. She doesn't want to worry her siblings. Aurora gets up and goes to her dad.
"Hey, Bug." Harrison smiles. He pulls her in for a hug. When he does, he smells overpowering weed. He pulls out of the hug and looks Aurora up and down.
"What?" Aurora laughs.
"Are you high?"
"Oh my God." Aurora scoffs. "No. I'm not high, Dad."
"You smell like weed."
"I—" Aurora lowers her voice. "I went to Barry's, but I didn't get anything. His trailer smells so bad and—"
"Just go to your room, Aurora." Harrison demands. "You're grounded until this whole gold fiasco is settled."
"What?" Aurora asks. "You do know about the gold!"
"Aurora. Go to your room. We'll talk about this later."
"You sound like Jane." Aurora mumbles before going to her bedroom. Aurora decides that the best way to pass time is sleeping.
When she wakes up, it's already the next evening and John B is banging on her window.
"What the hell, JB?" Aurora groans as she gets out of bed and opens the window for him.
"Where's Harrison?" He asks angrily. He climbs into her room.
"Bro, you can't be here right now." Aurora says. "I'm grounded."
"For what?"
"Smelling like weed." Aurora laughs. The reason she's grounded is comical to her at this point. She didn't even do anything wrong.
"Do you know about my dad, Ward, and Harrison?" John B asks abruptly. Aurora stops laughing.
"I don't know... everything." Aurora answers truthfully. "I know our dads and Ward have some sort of thing with the gold. I think they were working together."
"I just went to Lana Grubbs' place." John B says. "She told me that Ward killed my pops. Your dad was on the boat, but Ward didn't kill him."
"Oh my God." Aurora gasps. Her dad is an accomplice to murder. More specifically, the murder of her best friend's dad. "John B, I'm so sorry. I didn't know it was that bad."
"It's not your fault, Rory."
"I'm kinda locked in here, and I have been asleep for," she looks at her wrist, pretending to check her watch, "almost 24 hours, so I have no idea if my dad is here or not." Aurora explains.
