"Oh fucking hell" I said opening my eyes and immediately closing them

Putting my hands on my head, I groaned at how much my head hurt. Who let me drink? Also, how the hell did I get in my bed and changed. Sighing, I sat up and saw it was 7am. Guess i'll get up. Getting out of bed I glanced at the bed side table and saw a glass of water and two pain pills, along with my phone. I stared at them for a minute trying to make my head stop hurting and took the pills. Grabbing my phone, I opened the weather app and it's going to be 20 degrees today. Good lord. Pulling out sweatpants and a long sleeve shirt, I got changed and brought the glass down to the kitchen.

"Morning Gen" Melanie said

"Good morning. Do you need any help?" I asked

"Nope. Already have the bacon and sausage out there. Just finishing up the scrambled eggs as your father requested" She smiled

"Thank you" I smiled back

Heading out to the dining room, both my parents and Oliver were out there.

"Good morning" I said

They all replied back with a 'morning' of sorts and I sat in my seat. Grabbing a piece of bacon I munched on that and leaned my head on my hand with my eyes half closed.

"How are you feeling hun?" My mother asked

"I have a hell of a headache. But took some pain meds. Did you leave those?" I asked

"Not me hun" She said

Nodding, my siblings and friend made their way down stairs and we all ate breakfast. No one really talked since all of us seemed to be hung over.

"Gen, Jaci, meeting in my office, at 8:30 okay" My dad said

"Guess i'm not going back to sleep" I yawned

"Nope" Jaci sighed

"Bring those notes you two have been taking and anything you have about your business plan" My dad replied

We both nodded and stood up from the table. Bringing our plates into the kitchen, we made our way to Jaci's room to grab her laptop then my room to get the notebook and my laptop. Putting those all together on my dresser we both sat on my bed.

"Hey, did you bring water and pain meds to my room last night?" I asked

"No.. I did see Oliver walking with two glasses of water when I came up last night" Jaci replied

"Hmm, maybe he brought it. Why though" I yawned

"Why don't you ask him?" She said

"Eh, if I see him" I said waving my hand.

"Question. Were you two just friends?" She asked

"Yeah why?" I asked

"He seems to care about you. Might just be him I don't know him that well" My friend shrugged

"We were really close friends when we were younger. Him and his sister were the only kids who knew who I was until around 16. But then Oliver enlisted and I didn't see him until that party a bit ago" I said

"Probably still cares about you" My friend said laying back

"Probably" I yawned

We both laid on my bed until my phone started buzzing.

"Yeah" I said

"It's 8:30 you two coming" My dad laughed

"Shit" I replied and hung up, double shit
