Chapter 14: How The Turns Have Tabled

The girls arrived at the Blight Manor, Luz waited outside in the car while Amity went in. "I won't take long, I'll call you if I need anything," Amity said, assuring Luz that it'll be alright. She turned on her heel and walked to the entrance of the manor. Entering, she was greeted by the house keepers. She asked if here mother was here and unfortunately, she was. Odalia was in the office, her father was out. She told them not tell her mother about her arrival and rushed to her room to grab her necessities and to avoid bumping into her mother.

She grabbed most of clothing, mostly, her hoodies, jackets, t-shirts, jeans, shorts, etc. She grabbed her uniform and stuffed all of them in her bag. As she opened the door, she looked out to see if her mother was there, when she wasn't she quickly and quietly ran to the stairs. She heard footsteps, causing her to hide in the nearsighted room, her parents room. Great she thought, hearing the footsteps getting louder, she hid the closet. A small gap between the door allowed Amity to peek at what was going on. She saw her mother entering the room, also hearing another voice.

She saw a man, taller than her mother, brown messy hair, slightly muscular and was wearing a suit. She couldn't make out the muffled voices but all she knows is that there was only the three of them in the room. First, they sat on the bed, her mother talking about something, slowly, her mother placed her hand on his chest and they stood up. Taking off his blazer and placing it on the chair by the dresser. Her mother stood up and wrapped her arm around the man's neck and started making out.

Heh...what a bitc-

Amity was pissed, her mother's just a cheater, a whore to add on. She also felt bad for her father who didn't know this was going on. She took out her phone and snapped a picture of her mother. She texted the picture to Luz and her siblings. Luz was surprised, her siblings were raging mad at their mother. Amity also had the idea to use this as blackmail. She sat there, feeling uncomfortable with what her mother was doing, and what she's hearing, for 5 minutes. Luckily someone knocked on the door, and seeing the two start panicking, especially her mother was hilarious. Her mother quickly put something on, hiding the man in the shower. She opened the door to see an maid.

About a few minutes, 2 minutes to be exact, the maid left and Odalia got the man out of the shower. Saying a few things, he grabbed his clothes and put them on. He left, Odalia following behind him. She quickly went out the closet, her legs feeling numb, she stood up feeling pins and needles in her foot. After awhile, she exited the room and went downstairs to be stopped by none other than her mother. "Where were you?" He asked. Amity turned around to face her mother once and for all.

"Out? Where else?" She rolled her eyes. "With who? For more than a day." Her mother still holding a stern look. "Obviously with someone, none if it matter to you anyways," she answered with more sass. "Amity Blight we do not answer our elderly like that. Now tell me who, it better be someone rich and worthy as your partner." Amity scoffed at her mother, "I don't care about how I should talk to you, Odalia. I treat people who treat me like shit the same way they do to me. And for that partner lemme see, hmm, oh she's not really rich, she owns a coffee shop, she's really hot and guess what we made out a few days ago. Yes, you didn't hear it wrong it was a she," she spat. Her mother gave her a disgusted look, "How dare you talk to me like that? And a girl? If it's that dumb girl you kissed last time, you better wish you could go out with her more after this." Amity rolled her eyes at Odalia. "Yeah? So what if it's her? She cares for me more than you could. So if could excuse me, I would like to go out and leave." She turned to leave but her mother stopped her. "Amity Blight! You listen to me!" Her mother tugged her arm.

She pulled her arm away then they heard a knock on the door. A maid went to open it and Luz quickly ran in. "Amity!" She ran to Amity, her mother getting even mad. "Now, you listen to me brat! Get away from my daughter or I will call the cops!" Odalia threatened. "Go ahead, I don't care. I bet you're gonna lie to them like how you're lying to your husband," Luz spat. Odalia's eyes widen, Luz grabbed Amity by the waist and pulled her closer. "What's wrong Odalia? Scared we'll tell father about you and that man?" She showed her the photo of her mother earlier. "You wouldn't dare," she mothers voice was full of fear. "Trust me I will," Amity now having the advantage over her mother. Odalia quickly grabbed her phone and broke it.

"Ok one, wow, just wow. Two, that doesn't change anything, I sent it to those people you call a disgrace? Y'know twins? They have it, so it doesn't change anything," Amity spoke, unamused by what her mother did. "Fine, what will it take for you to not show it to him? I'll do anything. Just don't show him," Odalia begged. "Hmm, let me date Luz. Do anything to hurt us in any other way, call the cops, we'll show it to him. Oh and give me 5 grand since your broke my phone," Amity said, Luz chuckling beside her. "Fine, here." She took out 5 thousand dollars and gave it to Amity. "Thank you," she cooed. The girls left the manor, Odalia was fuming but she couldn't do anything. The girls were so happy, especially Amity. She's finally free from her mother. They kept laughing about how Odalia looked terrified.

They arrived back home and Luz quickly picked her up saying how proud she was of Amity for finally standing up. Both of them laughing before Amity gave her a kiss. She pulled back, "now where were we?" Luz gave her a smirk.
