Chapter 16: Parents

After their little incident in the cafeteria this morning. Both the couples were embarrassed. Boscha was well... in slight pain after asking Luz stupid things. When they finished, Boscha placed an arm on Amity's shoulder only to be thrown off her. Luckily she didn't break any bones. Sadly, she was in pain. But, the Blight felt no regret. She had already warned her friend not to.

After school had came, everyone went to do their own stuff. Luz and Amity went back home and rested, watching some movies together. That is until Amity received a phone call from her sister.

Emira: Mittens you should come to the manor now.
Amity: What why?
Emira: Drama.
Amity: What do you mean?
Emira: Mom and Dad are fighting.
Amity: I'll be there in a few.

She ended to call. "What was that about?" Luz asked. "C'mon, let's go to the manor." She pulled Luz off the couch. "Why the rush? Also why should we go back there?" Luz questioned more. "Well, my mom and dad are fighting. I don't wanna miss out who would win." Luz started laughing then quickly got ready putting on some simple pieces of clothing. Finished, they both got in the car and drove to the Blight Manor.

They both got out of the car and walked up to the porch of the manor. Amity was about to knock but then she heard the sound of glass crashing. Shouts continuing after that. Amity pushed open the door to reveal her parents. Her mother seemed calm but her dad looked tense and stressed out.

"Father?"

He looked at his youngest child, his expression softened. "Mittens." He went to hug Amity. Then she asked why they were fighting.

"Well, your mother asked for millions of dollars then she said she wanted to move to a different state. When I refused she started demanding. Saying she wants a divorce if we don't. But I don't mind divorcing this wrench. It was the thought of her taking you kids away from me that blew the fuse."

"Ugh, please. All I wanted was a few millions to buy stuff. Move to a different state. If you didn't want to. I'll just take the kids with me. I never said I wanted a divorce," Odalia stated.

The parents started  another heated argument with each other. Luz was entertained by the fight. Amity looked for her siblings just to see them sitting at the stairs, eating popcorn. That's when Amity heard her name being mentioned.

"I don't like the fact that Amity is dating this girl. She's worthless. She's not one of us star classes. Why did you think I wanted to move to another state in the first place? This girl is ruining the family name!" Amity was triggered by what her mother said. Luz was offended. "You wanted to separate me and Luz? What the fuck! Dad!" Amity didn't want to leave her lover just because of her mother. Tears now forming in her eyes. Luz felt sorry for Amity, especially since she was the daughter of this bitch in front of her. "There isn't much I can do mittens. She's your mother."

"Oh I bet there is something you can do Mr. Blight." Everyone looked at Luz curiously. "Amity remember that video you took." Amity thought for a moment then it clicked. "Oh right. We still have that." Now Odalia was terrified. Even the twins started smiling. "What video? Why are you all smiling," Mr. Blight asked. He looked at the woman in front of him, she was pale, terrified. "You wouldn't dare." She stated, glaring at Amity. "Try me. We're all fed up with all your acting, being your puppet, mother. Or should I say Odalia. You aren't fit to be called a mother. Fucking whore."

Everyone was surprised at the strong use of words Amity had said towards Odalia. Alador, was more in of confusion by what Amity meant by 'whore'. Luz passed her phone to him. What he saw made his heartbreak. But the same time, he was happy. He could finally escape the world Odalia had put him in. Mrs. Blight was no longer the alpha. "I guess I have a nice valid reason to get a divorce now hmm?" He looked at Odalia.

"If it weren't for me, none of you would have this life. None of you 3 would have been born." She pointed to her children.

"Maybe, but because of you. I never had proper friends. Everyone only wanted to be friends just because of fame. We've all be manipulated by you, not anymore. You took away our freedom," Amity spoke in a harsh and cold tone. Sending shivers down one's spine.

"We're going to the jury first thing tomorrow morning. No more excuse. This conversation is final," Alador declared. With that he left to his office, the twins left to their rooms. Leaving only Odalia, Amity and Luz in the room. "This is all because of you." She charged at Luz but Luz just moved out of her way. "No, you brought this upon yourself. You tortured your own 'family'. It's your problem. Not mine, not Amity, no one else's but you. Good day Odalia." With that the 2 left her in there.

Reaching back to Luz's home, Amity gave Luz a hug, thanking her for helping her stand up to her mother all this time. "Always be here for you Amity. No matter what happens between us. I always will. I love you, Amity." There it was, the 3 words that would make anyone's day. The 3 words that was finally said with care, passionately, and most importantly the actual feeling. "I love you too, Luz." She pulled Luz into a kiss. A nice passionate one. Let's just say to end this chapter off, things got quite hot and steam for them.
