Chapter 12 ~ Taking Risks

Lloyd's POV:

"let us go harumi!!" I banged on the vengestone cage. Nya was still knocked out, I was alone. Just me and my thought since I didn't think harumi was even there. I gave up and sat and cuddled my knees. "why does this always happen to me?!" I yelled. "why am I to suffer?!". I just hope kai, cole and the others are......fine. Tears stung my eyes as I burry my head in my knees. I hear an earie chuckle. "oh dear, dear lloyd. Miss your friend's already?" Harumi's sinister voice whispered. I slowly lifted my head to see her smirking at me. Anger boiled inside me, I'd have lunged at her if I could but, unfortunately I'm too burnt out to even move now. "I.....i'm sorry lloyd but I have....o-orders" she said with a rather saddened expression and looked away. 

"why?!" I asked again but harumi just walked out. Nya coughed and gained conciseness. "Nya! How are you feeling?" "j-jay?" "sorry no, it's lloyd" "it's....fine. I'm okay. Thanks. Just a bit...ugh...dizzy" "I get you. Stay calm.... The other will find us"

Kai's POV:

"so what's your plan zane?" I scratched my head in confusion while I looked at Zane's computer screen while he typed furiously. "mayb' s'me c'ke?" Cole said as I ate some noodles. I grin. After cole and I kissed we've been sneaking glances at each other. I'm surprised that neither Jay nor zane had figured out that yet. We'll just do the big revel....later. Of course, our priorities are set on rescuing my sister and lloyd. 

"i have came up with a possible plan-" "what is it?" Jay cut in. "calm down, let the nindroid explain zaptrap" cole crossed his arms. "thank you cole. As I was saying-" Zane glared at Jay, "I think we may be able to track nya or Lloyd's energy signatures. So far, neither mine nor pixel's scanners have been able to locate them." "and?" "kai might be able be able to talk to either of them." There was a silence while everyone thought about it. "How come?" I said, still clueless. "You're Nya's brother. Sence you have a connection to her. And since lloyd can't 'posses' cole anymore you may be our best shot" "m-me?!" Zen nods. "do it" Jay said, his voice grave. 

"whoa, I'm not letting kai take on a risk like this! We need more time to think about it!" Cole jumped in my defense. I blushed at his concern but tried to keep a stern expression. "what is there more to think?! Stay out of this cole!" Jay yelled back. Both of had an extreme staring contest, throwing death glares at each other. Zane slapped his forehead in frustration at the two. I took a deep breath and calmed myself down. I stepped between the two and separated them. 

"I'll do it" 

I said it. I coundn't even believe myself. I'm going to risk my life to save my sister and lloyd. Both cole and jay looked shocked and pale. "What?!" both of them said in unison. I put my hands on my hips, "that's right. I will go with Zane's plan and locate nya" Cole was about protest but before he could I pull him out of the room. 

"let me explain cole-" 

"I'm 'not' letting you do this!" 

"I understand your....concern but this might be our only lead....at any cost" 

Cole hesitated, but finally he gave in. "I'm only agreeing is because I want lloyd and nya to be safe." He looked away hurt. "thanks....cole" and pulled him by this hand and gave him little kiss on the lips. Cole returned it and we broke apart. We walked in, I let go of Cole's hand just when jay saw us. "Are you ready kai?" Zane asked. I nod confidentiality. I smile at cole, assuring that i'll be fine. He looked nervous and still unsure but he smiled back.

Zane told me to sit on the floor and cross my legs and get into meditation position. "uhm...are you sure this is the right way?" I questioned as I got comfortable. "yes kai" zane said with a little impatient tone. "now, think about nya.....like a picture in your mind."

I close my eyes and center my breathing. I think about Nya's black hair, her bright blue eyes, her warm smile and all the sparing matches we had together -most of her winning over me. I think about how much i miss her. How much I want to hold her again. After a few breaths I feel a light wind brush my hair. I open my eyes. I'm in a vengestone cage! I gasp but so sound comes out of me. I look down at myself. I looked....normal to say the least, but I did notice a faint glow emitting from me. I shrugged. I gotta find lloyd and nya, fast! I touch the cage wall and my hand goes right through! It's normal! This is definitely normal kai! I calm myself and I pass my whole body through the cage with ease.

I wander about some corridors. Hmm...seems this place is a cave of some sort. Maybe they're underground. Even maybe under the city! I walk for a few more minutes and I stumble into a very big room. It was lined with bug TV screens -it, in a way, reminded me of the samurai X cave. It had a lot of radars and other devices. I took a closer look but I had no idea what they were used for. 

I felt the hair on the back of my neck stand up as i used sharply as harumi passes through me. I take some quality time gagging about it and how lloyd would react. Harumi looked troubled. She had light bags under her eyes and her hair was fairly messy. I guess she didn't notice me -which is a good thing right? After she clicked on a few buttons a figure appeared on screen. 

"report; how is the weapon coming along harumi?" An ominous voice aid from the other side. For a second there I thought I recognized that sly voice before but I ignored it and put my full attention to the conversation. Harumi bowed,

 "yes....may I ask why you want me to keep the water ninja? She is no use to us and yet you order me to hold her with lloyd"

 "The blue ninja might come in handy, remember that" 

"yes master"

I gulped. Nya's in danger. Maybe harumi is planning on using her as bait to lure jay in, as far as I know the other part of the so called 'weapon'. The thought sivered me. I put it aside and continued listening. "how is the green ninja?" The hodded figure asked. Harumi hesitated. Why? "annoying as always. but he's pretty worn out, too weak to use his powers" I felt some guilt in her voice.

 "I'm satisfied. Keep but the work. Don't disappoint me. Deliver everything in two weeks sharp! You hear me harumi?"

"y-yes...master" and with that the call was cut.

Before I could peruse to find nya, I felt a sharp pain in my head and i fell to my knees. I wanted to scream from the pain but before I could i passed out.
