~ Lastish Chapter

I turned in my camouflage and I saw Cole and Nya do the same. Harumi was staling Skylor, silently signaling us to approach. I turned on heat vision to get sight of Cole and Nya as we three close on Skylor. "well, I have some tricks up my sleeves- as always" Harumi grinned as she reached for her dagger on her belt. Skylor saw it, but she stood still, not moving an inch. Both of their heads sharply turned as jay struggled against the chains and probably the thousand time and Lloyd heaving a helpless sigh at his efforts. "Oh I'm delighted to see your little  tricks  if I heard correctly" Skylor said in a disgusted tone. My heart sank even deeper than before and the hole in my chest widened. This is not the Skylor I knew. I thought she was... well good, but my trust has only left to destruction.

"Ninjagoo go!"

I deactivated my camouflage and my first burst into flames. I jumped up and aimed a roundhouse kick at Skylor. she was startled but she blocked it with both her hands. she flinched at the pain from her pervious injury in her wrists as she struggled with with the weight. But, the tides were soon turned as I met her eyes and recognized a familiar glow in them. She's absorbed my powers!

I pressed my foot further and Skylor's feet started to give away, pushing her backwards. "Now!" I signaled for the week attack. And according to plan; Cole came out of his camouflage and kicked at her feet. She lost her balance but she caught my gi before she could fall. her fist lit on fire as she tried to burn me. I only felt a mild warmth but my gi started to burn. "obvious fact; you can't burn  the master of fire " I struggled against her hold. I was very angry at her. without a second thought, I gripped her hands and let all my anger out. Skylor lot her grip at the burns and yelped. This step was not called for but I had to improvise. 

Skylor gasped at the burn marks as she withered on the floor. But from behind her auburn ponytail she smirked.

"unfortunately, I have already finished the weapon I just need to power it up"

"we won't let that happen"

"too late. you've helped so much"

Before any of us could do anything, Skylor took out her sword and strike it into the air. a few seconds later Nya materialized. Skylor's sword had stopped a few inches from her throat. "Nya!" the whole team exclaimed in unison. 

"don't you dare touch her!!" Jay yelled, his fists firmly curled into balls.

"Jay no!" Lloyd yelled warningly from behind him. Jay shut up after a direct order from Lloyd. 

"one more move- or else" Skylor said threatenly. Nya faintly whimpered at the blade. No one dared to move "no!" Jay couldn't control himself as he tugged on the chain, harder than the last time. "it's  vengestone darling, one of the strongest materials in ninjago, took me all of father's savings" Skylor grinned which made jay even more angry. "we gotta calm him down before he losses it" Cole said.

I nodded, but I couldn't move, Nya's life is at stake! I guess the distress in my eyes worried Cole as he's eyes raced around for a solution. But as he looked up, he's eyes widened and he tucked a smile. I tilted my head, confused. Cole winked and mouthed,

"i got this"

Skylor didn't see anything as she was distracted from Jay. suddenly it hit me! she wants jay to be angry. She  wants to trigger his lightning! Skyor snapped her fingers and two shadows emerged. Jay tried to fight them off, but his feet only went through them as they unlocked his chains. Jay fell to the ground and landed on one knee. "Jay, listen to me! don't use your powers! not yet!" Lloyd warned through his holds, I guess he too knew Skylor's intentions. Jay didn't listen - I wasn't surprised. he breathed heavily, still trying to get over his anger and control his powers. "no! control yourself" I took a step towardsJay, "one more step kai" Skylor warned grimly, her blade ever so closer to Nya.
